HR Club Event “Extempore Competition" on 16th January 2023
We are delighted to inform you that JIMS Kalkaji is hosting an HR club event on 16th January 2023 at 11 AM in the campus auditorium. A unique extempore competition putting one's knowledge of human resource management at test to allow one to 'speak to lead'. Each team will be given a topic related to human resource management within an organization, through a chit system the topic will be allotted on the spot and time will be given to the team to jot down their points post which the team will speak on the topic for a duration of 2-4 minutes. Marks will be allotted on the basis of quality of content, fluency, confidence and clarity of thought. There will be 2 rounds, the first revolving around a general overview of the topic and the second will include situational examples or references to the corporate world; 3 position certificates along with cash prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.

JIMS in collaboration with FIEO presents the International Trade Seminar scheduled to be held on Monday, 28th November, 2022 in Kalkaji, New Delhi, campus auditorium. The topic of the Seminar is: "India's New Foreign Trade Policy: Issues, Challenges and Prospects in a Fast Changing Global Economic Environment."The topic is most apt as the Covid19 pandemic and Ukraine war have had a devastating effect on International Trade of all countries. Some of the key factors for the crisis have been supply chains disruptions, currency depreciation and dwindling export orders world-wide. How trade between India and other developing countries will fare in the near future will primarily depend on how the global political and economic scenario evolves in the forthcoming year. The renowned experts will be participating in the forthcoming Seminar and will keenly discuss these and other key issues and throw up some interesting perspectives and solutions as a way forward.

NSS-ECO Club Plantation drive on 24th September, 2022
NSS-ECO Club of JIMS Kalkaji in collaboration with DGATS CARE Foundation is organizing a Plantation Drive in Connaught Place, Delhi on 24 September 2022 from 3:00 PM onwards to observe World Ozone Day. Student volunteers from JIMS and DGATS Care foundation will be acquiring and planting the saplings in the outer circle park area. The objective of this drive is to create awareness and spread the message of saving our planet Earth. The aim is to control global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on the importance of keeping a clean environment.

JIMS, Kalkaji is organizing an Online Faculty Development Program on "Systematic Literature Review" on 12th October, 2022 by Dr. Sahil Gupta, Associate Professor, AT Management, Chandigarh University. The purpose of the FDP is to help researchers gain insights in one of the most exhaustive scientific methods to conduct literature review. A well-designed systematic literature review acts as a stepping stone in conducting meta-analysis. The objective of this FDP is to provide faculty and research scholars with various tools of literature review. To gain a better knowledge of the available techniques for literature review mainly focus on meta-analysis. This program also aims to provide hands-on experience to the participants.

The session will be taken by Dr. G Areendran, Director-IGCMC & coordinator-ENVIS (MoEF &CC) at WWF-India on 15 September 2022 from 12:00 pm onwards for the students for PGDM and PGDM(IB). The speaker has done excellent work in the field of environment conservation and his views would set the tone perfectly for the session. The session is intended for academicians, research scholars, industry personnel, representatives of government & academic bodies and students who desire to acquire rich knowledge and gain a wider perspective of the intricacies of Ozone layer depletion and its impact on the environment through an insightful session. It aims to discuss the fast depletion of the stratospheric ozone layer that allows harmful UV radiation to penetrate earth's atmosphere and cause several direct and indirect harmful effects on human beings as well as on other living beings.

MDP on "Applied Econometrics using Time Series and E-Views" from 18th – 23rd January, 2021

Decision making process in business is normally sustained by the use of quantifiable data. Econometrics is apprehensive with summarizing these relevant data by means of a model. Such econometrics models help to understand the relation between business-related variables and to analyze the promising effects of decisions. With the availability of various time series econometrics tools and user-friendly statistical software, the ability to analyse large amount of data is not only desirable, but a necessity for any professionals. Such techniques and software are usually very complex and confusing for the uninitiated. There are several issues in this process like selection of technique, selection of software, interpretation of results and so forth.
The objective of this programme is to emphasize broad range of techniques for time series data including advanced statistical analysis and key econometric models using E-views and to foster multidisciplinary research in these areas. It also endeavors to facilitate applied learning of these techniques.This program will cover whole gamut of the financial analytics tool of time series data and panel data. Hand-on training parallel to conceptual, methodology and interpretation-based discussion makes this program a value for money program.

NSS Unit of JIMS, Kalkaji, New Delhi is organizing Swachhata Drive as a part of yearly Swachhata Pakhwada Activity.
