Soft Skills as classified in the traditional time was very different as to what it is seen today. Skills required to upgrade the strength and potential of a candidate which thereby helps in getting hired are the essential skills required for a person sitting for an interview. Soft skills are very different from the technical skills which are merely conceptual and do not add to the overall grooming and confidence of an individual. Soft skills are the essential non technical skills which have come to occupy a huge place in the recent times

Imagine if every individual has supreme confidence and would be able to clear every interview and decide for themselves which company he would want to work with and thereby plan his future .Unfortunately the reality is way different and what one really lack in an interview is primarily confidence and the conviction which is seen as the key skill for employability. Confidence is further broken down into learnable skills sets which are classified as soft skills and thereby become extremely important for every individual to develop an hone the ability to express .Skills which thereby become the corner stone for every ladder one want t o rise in their professional journey.

There are a lot different kinds of skill sets which are required for employability .The most important soft skills which are required are communication skills, presentation skills, negotiation skills, conflict management, team management, stress management, time management and professionalism. All these are important from the standpoint of getting hired and one needs to be equipped with them at the time of getting hired. One is also able to learn these skills on the job but the employers expect a certain benchmark ark before  one starts their professional journey. We will be talking about three such important skills in our discussion below.

Communication comes to occupy the prime pace and is the first ting that one is able to project and becomes a mark of confidence. Communication with clarity, confidence, knowledge, context and personal connect leaves across a powerful impact on the mind of the employer. Even at the workplace in future one needs to communicate to establish authority and leadership through choice of the right words. When one learn the skill to be assertive one is able to express and deal with colleagues, clients and crack deals and rise up in hierarchy much faster. To speak with confidence is the cornerstone of success.

Presentation Skills come to occupy the next important pace where one needs to learn the ability to present in a clear and concise way though the use of presentations. A simple 777 formula can be applied where one should not exceed 7 slides and on each slide not more than 7 bullet points and in each bullet point not more than 7 words. This helps in keeping minimal information so that verbal explanation can create engagement and interaction for impact to their audience. The ability to clearly plan, structure and deliver their thoughts has to be done keeping in mind the interest level of the listener so that one can contextualise and make it effective

One also need to display all attributes of professionalism which includes  the image which has to be contextual as per the role one is playing in an organisation and wore on appearance though a proper dress etiquette to  display the same. Dress appearance goes a long way in projecting the confidence an d preparedness of an individual. Along with this body language and voice and voice modulations also display the energy. One needs to have a strong code of conduct and ethics for displaying professionalism at workplace so that there is complete transparency and accountability .

We can see that there are several skills that go a long way in helping develop an individuals personality and thereby help in employability at the right place . One needs to be professionally trained in these and in many attributes for being able to get the desired job and thereby acquire the deserving positions  of leadership in an organisation .It is the heart and core which forms the confidence of an individual and must be worked upon diligently  and consciously.

In the end I would like to summarise by saying that the earlier an individual starts working on non technical skills , the earlier he is able to gain the confidence required for any deserving position. It also become a part of ones personality and one is able to exhibit the traits through the daily workings with friends, family and professionally at workplace.
