Learning curve as we all understand actually happens in all our lives but particularly it’s very important in the life of an academician. As myself, being an academician and being in the industry over more than two decades, learning curve has actually been adding a new dimension to my life literally every single day.
Being an educationist, one realises that there is just no end to the road of learning at all. The objective of the entire education industry is to impart meaningful impactful training and education. Being an educationist, moving with the true spirit of wanting to learn every single day automatically elevates the road of continuos learning.
Learning curve of an academician is progressive. What is a learning curve? Every human being throughout his entire lifetime has various stages and phases through which he is able to learn, grow and apply. As a human being goes through several phases of learning through school, through college, through post graduation, and even beyond that which includes training at job and even further, in all areas of life. As we can all see, each one of us actually goes through a tremendous learning curve throughout different phases of life. Although this opportunity of going through a learning curve is there in each one of our lives, but in the life of an academician or a trainer or an educationist who truly wants to inspire and motivate people with their thoughts, with their knowledge, and want to impart the same, is truly accelerating the process of learning curve phenomenally. Think about it, every single morning, when every academician sets himself to work, he is creating new benchmarks of innovative learning and development and to apply that immediately in his environment. In fact we also look at the true objective of an educational industry which lies at the foundation of spreading your knowledge. For more than two decades, learning curve for myself as an academician has seen some tremendous growth. As an academician one takes the onus and responsibility of wanting to first learn new concepts, being able to get aware on what is happening in the environment, so that when you go out and speak to your listeners, inspire your audience you are able to completely do justice to every single word through which you want to inspire your audience.
The real responsibility of every educationist is not to keep the information and the knowledge that they have been able to gain over years be curtailed to just themselves or just limited to a few people, in fact to go out and make every strenuous effort to share it with more and more people. This not only leads to their own personal growth and development as an academician, as an educationist, it also helps them to elevate their life condition and contribute towards the growth as the learning curve of their life takes a high. When does the learning curve really accelerate by leaps and bounds? In Training and education when you learn the concepts and not just keep it to yourself but also share with as many people as you can, is where you are truly applying the concepts of learn, apply and grow. Through the concept of learn, apply and grow you are able to transform the lives of many people while at the same time transforming your own life. Something that can really become as an exhausting exercise for an academician is where you are continuously learning throughout your life. If you actually really realise there are always two sides of a coin. To the experiences of an academician the biggest pro is in the contribution of their own personal growth and development and acceleration in their learning curve and of course on the flipside you are able to see the exhaustion which may lead to complete abandonment. It’s important to accelerate, but also to take regular breaks and intervals to keep the momentum going on over a sustained period of time in the long run. To really summarise the thoughts of a learning curve, one needs to really step into the shoes of an academician or an educationist who wants to inspire people with their thoughts and knowledge and thereby give a boost to their learning curve and accelerate that way more than what an average human being is able to do as a part of their life experiences. Learning never stops and it is evident in the life of an educationist. Thank you.
