TEDx Talk on the theme, "Mindset Change and Transformation for Success" on 6th September 2023

JIMS Kalkaji organized the TEDx Talk on the theme, "Mindset Change and Transformation for Success" at JIMS Kalkaji Auditorium on 6th September 2023. The speakers for the event were Dr. Amit Gupta Chairman, Jagannath International Management School, Mr. Ankit Jhamb author, and Chief Learning Officer, Grant Thornton Bharat, Mr. Soheb Tahir Learning and Development Lead at Bain & Company, Life Coach-Master Practitioner NLP and Ms. Monica Singhal Life Coach-Hari Om Smiles.
4 speakers , 4 different journeys , 4 different stories but all proving that the mindset that we carry and the willingness to get through obstacles is all we need to be successful in life. Transform yourself into what is needed at the nick of the time to achieve your goals. Overall, it was a session worth each and every second of the time, the audience was highly motivated and driven at the end of it and was able to absorb the essence of what a transformational mindset is.

International Guest Lecture on "Explore Educational opportunities traversing geographical boundaries and borders" on 24th July, 2023

On July 24, 2023, JIMS Kalkaji conducted a lecture featuring Ms. Tamra Johnson, Associate Director of Graduate Admissions at the University of California. The lecture, attended by students from the PGDM 2023-2025 batch, covered various PG programs at UC Riverside School of Business, including MBA, Masters in Finance, and Masters in Science and Business Analytics. Ms. Johnson emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities, provided insights from successful Indian alumni, and addressed student queries regarding admissions, visas, industrial experience, scholarships, and tuition. The session ended with an invitation to students to apply to the University of California.

To Mark the 100th Episode of Mann Ki Baat, Shri. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation, addressed the audience at JIMS, Kalkaji

Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, had the honour of welcoming Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation, to our campus on a momentous occasion - the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat.

Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia addressed the gathering and shared insights on various social initiatives undertaken by the government. He highlighted the need for empowering the youth, as they are the future of our country. The Minister's address was inspiring and enlightening, and it left a lasting impression on all those present.

The Chairman of Jagannath International Management School, Dr. Amit Gupta, felicitated Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon'ble Minister of Civil Aviation as a mark of respect and appreciation for the Minister's contribution to the development of our country.

Overall, the event was a huge success, and it was an honour for JIMS, Kalkaji, to host such a distinguished guest. The occasion was a testament to our commitment to promoting social causes and providing a platform for dialogue on important issues.

Jagannath Gupta Memorial Lecture on "The Role of Venture Capital in India - Challenges and Upside for Entrepreneurs" on 27th May 2022

JIMS organised Jagannath Gupta Memorial Lecture on the theme "The Role of Venture Capital in India - Challenges and Upside for Entrepreneurs" on 27th May 2022 at India International Centre, New Delhi. Prof. Viney Sawhney, a Distinguished Professor, Finance at Harvard University delivered the session. Mr Vijay Rai, Chief Growth Officer at Asia Pacific Region and Member of the Executive Board with Day One Technologies was the anchor at the event.

Book Launch of "Business Innovation: A Case Study Approach" on 27th May, 2022

JIMS Kalkaji and Vasant Kunj organised a Book Launch of " Business Innovation: A Case Study Approach" by the author Dr. Vijay Pandiarajan, Ross School of Busienss, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, USA on 27th May, 2022 at India International Centre, New Delhi. The book is published by Routledge-Taylor & Francis Group, UK. Honourable Chairman of JIMS, Dr. Amit Gupta had a very interactive discussion with Dr. Vijay on various aspects of the book. The audience showed a keen interest in the book.

Distinguished Lecture Series on 31st March, 2022

JIMS Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on the topic "Sustainability Reporting Standards Framework" by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Singhal, Chairman, CA. Parivaar on 31st March 2022 at JIMS auditorium. 90 students from PGDM and PGDM (IB) 2021-2023 Batch attended the session. The speaker discussed about Covid 19 in accounting terms i.e., assets and liabilities. Further he laid emphasis on COP - 26. He mentioned that with money things can be bought but outcomes are never considered i.e., harmful results of using AC's, Bottles etc. He further presented his views on "Climate change - A code Red for Humanity".Main highlights of the PPT were: BSR to be made compulsory from 1st April, Solar & renewable energy and SDG 1- poverty, SDG 2 - Zero Hunger, SDG 3 - Good health & wellbeing, SDG 4 - Gender equality, SDG 5 - Clean water. He concluded by saying that if no action is taken with respect to climate, there are chances of average temperature to reach to 4 degrees celsius.

Distinguished Lecture Series on 16th March, 2022

A Distinguished Lecture was organized in JIMS Kalkaji Auditorium with Mr. Samar Mahaptra, Group HR Head, Shigan Group, Manesar, Gurgaon on 16th March, 2022 on the topic "Performance Management System in the Context of an Innovative PMS in Shigan Quantum Technologies Ltd.". Management of human resources is the most significant aspect of any organization. Performance evaluation and performance appraisal is essential to sketch employee development. Mr. Mahapatra shared his experiences of being on the recruitment panel and guided students as to how to handle behaviour based interview questions. He mentioned that resume and application forms are essential tools for marketing themselves as job candidates. He further recommended students that nowadays building references for selection in jobs is important and thus building on a robust networking is quintessential.The session in this regard was most comprehensive and most appreciated by the students.

Distinguished Lecture Series on 22nd February, 2022

JIMS, Kalkaji organised a "Distinguished Lecture Series" wherein Distinguished Lecture was being delivered by "Prof.Phanish Puranam" who is a Roland Berger Chair Professor of Strategy & Organization Design at INSEAD on 22nd February, 2022. The lecture was delivered on the topic "Organizing in the Metaverse" for students of JIMS and various colleges and universities across India. The Welcome Address was given by Dr. (Cdr.) Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman, JIMS, Kalkaji and Vote of Thanks by Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, JIMS. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji was also present to grace the occasion.
Prof. Phanish Puranam addressed 250+ students on the Generic strategies used for coordinating distributed work and learning distributed working trade offs such as flexibility, talent market access, sustainability, learning, creativity, culture & networks. Prof. Phanish Puranam said metaverse is a 3D virtual world where users create avatars of themselves to share spaces, collaborate, and do real activities together. It is a digital world filled with real-life people. Towards the end, he highlighted on the "Base R" interactions concept leads to metaverse applications which can help bridge some of the missing social interactions of distributed work.

JIMS, Kalkaji organised a "Distinguished Lecture Series" wherein Distinguished Lecture was being delivered by Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE on "National Education Policy 2020" on Wednesday, 15th December 2021 for students of JIMS and various colleges and universities across India. The Welcome Address was given by Dr. (Cdr.) Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman, JIMS, Kalkaji and Vote of Thanks by Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, JIMS. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji was also present to grace the occasion. Dr. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe addressed 450+ students on the importance of Project-Based Experiential Learning which is the key to empower different domains of colleges with its multidisciplinary nature of education. Using artificial intelligence, machine learning, IOT etc are of prime importance for building lifelong learning embedded knowledge systems for advanced global research capabilities. Sir also stated the importance of Indian ingenious knowledge systems which has cultivated its roots in the digital workspace based learning. Prof. Sahasrabudhe said e-learning platforms such as Swayam and National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) came into existence to digitally bring quality education to everyone and transform the education system having capabilities to reach students with it's global outlook. Therefore, National Education Policy-2020 envisioned the change long ago and introduced a historic and remarkable policy to ensure the educational growth of the country to its highest level.

International Guest Lecture on "Intercultural Awareness-Navigating Cultural Differences, Communication Across-Cultural Perceptions of Time" on 27th Aug 2022

JIMS Kalkaji organized International Guest Lecture on the topic "Intercultural Awareness-Navigating Cultural Differences, Communication Across-Cultural Perceptions of Time" by Mr. Florian Huesmann, SAP Assistant Manager, Nintendo of Europe, on 27.8.2022 from 12:30 pm onwards on zoom meeting platform . The session was organized for the entire PGDM & PGDM(IB) batch. The speaker for the session has 10 years of work experience – 7 years in SAP environments and has accompanied SAP implementation projects as well as country roll-outs for big retail and fashion companies. He holds a Master's Degree in International Business. Living and working in different countries has strengthened his interest in inter cultural exchange. Coping with challenges in various industries he has broadened his horizon for the importance of client's needs and therefore the necessity to continuously develop his personal skills. Throughout the session he shared insights from his area of expertise and explained various dimensions of intercultural awareness. He touched upon the different perspectives with regard to cultural differences and communication across cultural perceptions of time. Overall the lecture was very interesting, engaging and insightful.

International Guest Lecture on "New Trends in Digital Marketing" on 3rd March, 2022

JIMS, Kalkaji organized an International Guest Lecture on "New Trends in Digital Marketing" on Thursday, 3rd March, 2022 by Dr. Ivona Rapan, Associate Professor, Dimitrie Cantemir University, Romania.. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji, gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the session topic. Dr. Ivona discussed digital marketing of products, services or brands through discrete forms of electronic media and how digital marketing differs from traditional marketing, She also gave tips on social media marketing and the importance of SEO, SEM for better visibility and ranking in digital space. She gave an insight on Popular Digital Marketing Tools like Sprout social, Facebook's Power Editor, Emma and Marketo.Ms. Palak Gupta, Assistant Professor, JIMS, Kalkaji coordinated the session and gave a vote of thanks. The session was highly appreciated by the students. Live examples and case scenarios made the session even more interesting and lightened a spark in students to learn more about Digital Marketing and its emerging trends.

International Guest Lecture on "Intercultural Awareness" on 28th Feb 2022

JIMS, Kalkaji organized an International Guest Lecture on "Intercultural Awareness" on Monday, 28th Feb 2022 by Mr. Florian Huesmann, SAP Assistant Manager, Nintendo of Europe in the Auditorium, JIMS Kalkaji. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji, gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the international guest lecture topic. Mr. Florian Huesmann discussed the importance of gaining intercultural competence and cultural awareness in the work which leads to interaction and communication with people from different cultures in a respectful and effective way. Intercultural competence and awareness cannot exist without recognizing diverse identities and making intentional steps to be inclusive to people of varying backgrounds. He also discussed about the Intercultural, or cross-cultural, competence is a crucial set in today's global workplace, where employees are more likely to interact with co-workers, customers from different cultures and countries, and need to work productively with people who have been shaped by different values, beliefs and experiences Ms. Shilpi Yadav, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji coordinated the session for the students of PGDM and delivered vote of thanks.

“Importance of Intellectual Property Protection for Start-Ups: Strategies and Challenges" on Sep 26, 2023

The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) of JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Session on “IMPORTANCE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION FOR START-UPS: STRATEGIES AND CHALLENGES" on October 26, 2023, with the objective of fostering entrepreneurship skills among students of PGDM.Dr. Shikha Tejaswi, Managing Partner & Founder of TEJSWI IP shared her valuable insights into Intellectual Property, its importance, challenges, strategies, and procedures for obtaining and protecting intellectual property. She also discussed different important aspects of costs, Enforcement, budget constraints, complexity, lack of awareness, and resource constraints are some challenges that are faced by startups when it comes to using intellectual property. Insights of real based examples of many businesses like Uber, Airbnb, Dropbox, Nest, Snapchat were too highlighted.

“FinXpress” the event of Finance club of JIMS Kalkaji 2023-2024

On 15th September 2023, The finance club “MoneyTech” of JIMS Kalkaji introduced its new segment the finance talk show named FinXpress on the topic “Integrated Reporting” for PGDM & PGDM(IB) at JIMS Kalkaji, New Delhi. The event started with the introduction of the guest speaker Dr. S.K. Gupta, M.D. of Registered Valuers Organisation of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, CEO of ICMAI Social Auditors Organisation. This was followed by presentation of Dr. S.K. Gupta on Integrated Reporting and how it is important in current reporting landscape. He also talked about how it is prepared and what a company must have to present an integrated report. He talked about the attributes and significance of the integrated reporting from the point of view the stakeholders of a company. The event was further followed by a Q&A round “Finblaze” which was hosted by the Treasurer of the club Jasmine Anand. This round was very informative and enlightening. After the Finblaze round there was an open Q&A session to make this event more interactive with the audience. Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS Kalkaji, and Dr. Sandeepa Kaur, Faculty coordinator of MoneyTech, presented Green Initiative and Memento to the guest followed by a photo session of the MoneyTech team with Dr. S.K. Gupta and Dr. Anuj Verma. The event was concluded with Vote of Thanks.

World Ozone Day 16th September 2023

16th September of every year is to be celebrated as World Ozone Day, on occasion of World Ozone Day was commemorated with a thought-provoking lecture by Mr. Nitin Bassi, Senior Programme Lead for the Sustainable Water Team ( CEEW) held at the JIMS (Kalkaji) Auditorium. The lecture covered a wide range of topics related to environmental sustainability, climate change, and ozone layer protection.Mr. Bassi discussed the importance of aligning budgets and financial planning with environmental sustainability goals. He highlighted the need for governments and businesses to allocate resources for green initiatives. The lecture touched upon the initiatives taken by Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CEEW) organizations to promote sustainable development. Mr. Bassi emphasized the role of businesses in fostering sustainability.

Guest Lecture on "ProwessIQ Training Session" on 28th August, 2023

JIMS Kalkaji organized PROWESSIQ Training Session for the students of PGDM(IB) Batch 2022-2024 & Batch 2023-2025 on 28 August 2023 from 2:40 pm – 4:30 pm in the Computer Lab. Ms. Pratima, Business Relationship Manager, PROWESSIQ provided the training for using ProwessIQ. 76 students attended the session and learnt how to use the database. The speaker started by how ProwessIQ is an interactive querying system to find companies from the Prowess database. It consists of a client software that provides an interface to construct and submit queries over the internet to the Prowess database and receive answers to the queries from the database. She further elaborated that all queries in ProwessIQ aims at finding companies that match a given set of search conditions. The ProwessIQ interface therefore consists of a large number of query construction facilities, display of query results in spreadsheets and the further use of the results of queries. The Prowess database consists of the financial performance of Indian companies. The database contains information on all listed companies and a larger set of unlisted companies. The database is built from the audited Annual Reports of companies and information submitted to the Ministry of Company Affairs; and in the case of listed companies, the database also includes company filings with stock exchanges and prices of securities listed on the major stock exchanges. Guest Lecture on “Doing Business and the Role of Incubators” on 30th June, 2023

Business incubators have emerged as a valuable resource for startups seeking to overcome business challenges. Keeping in view of the same, JIMS Kalkaji organized a Guest Lecture in collaboration with ANDC inStart Foundation on the topic “Doing Business and the Role of Incubators” on 30th June, 2023. The lecture was a part of the Foundation Programme, wherein the students are exposed to the startup nuances. The guest speaker was Mr. Dhruv Rana, CEO, ANDC inStart Foundation. The lecture began with exploring the drivers of entrepreneurial journey and choosing the right path. The lecture delved into the fundamentals of business incubators and incubation, their significance, the various types of incubation services, and the phases that make up the development of business incubation. The lecture was focused on building the ecosystem, training and mentoring the student entrepreneurs through the medium of incubators.

Guest Lecture on "Communication Skills to Boost Employability" on 27th June, 2023

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on “Communication Skills to Boost Employability” on 27th June, 2023 for students of PGDM & PGDM (IB) during the Foundation Programme of Batch 2023-25. Dr. Navneet Gera, HOD, PGDM (IB) welcomed Mr. Gagan Singh with a green initiative. Ms. Shilpi Yadav, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Gagan Singh, Rank Holder Alumnus, of IIM- Ahmedabad, DTU who talked about the need and importance of communication in the present business era and told the students of the PGDM & PGDM(IB) the Art Of Effective Communication is to keep it S.MA.R.T - S : Succinct, M : Measurable, A : Agreeable, R : Reconfirm, T : Time Bound.
Mr. Gagan Singh gave a detailed view of Business Communication in the digital world with the help of examples and a few activities. He explained to the participants about basic communication skills which are required to be successful in the corporate sector. He talked about different and important principles of communication and the basic telephonic and online meeting etiquette to be followed during conversation with the clients or customers at the workplace. The guest lecture ended with the interaction between both speaker and attendees in which students asked certain questions based on concepts shared by the speaker and sir shared his valuable perspective on the same. It was a highly interactive and knowledgeable session which highlighted the importance of business communication in the real world.

Guest Lecture on “Walk the Talk- Journey of an Alumni Entrepreneur” on 11th April 2023

The session, ‘Walk the Talk- Journey of an Alumni Entrepreneur’ was conducted on 11th April, 2023 at JIMS, Kalkaji by Ms Vaishali Puri, Founder of Vinci & Valeo, Trainers & Consultants. The session primarily focused on the necessary steps of how to become an entrepreneur, the chief characteristics needed to become an entrepreneur and the necessity to develop networking and soft skills through the narrative of her own journey as an entrepreneur. The common mistakes committed in the beginning of the journey and the likely pitfalls that one needs to be aware were aptly articulated by the speaker.

Guest Lecture on “Empowering Women Through Education” on 28th March 2023

JIMS, Kalkaji along with IIC, JIMS Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on “Empowering women through education”. The session was taken by Mrs. Shipra Kulshrestha, Founder & Managing Trustee of “Raah-Ek Mission”, Charitable Trust. She enlightened everybody on how the long-term benefits of girl education can help a society grow holistically and lead to true women empowerment which can have far reaching impacts. The session ended on great note by highlighting that there is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women.

Guest lecture on Ashonidhi “Mental Wealth Network” on 22nd March 2023

JIMS KALKAJI organized a guest lecture on the topic Ashonidhi “Mental Wealth Network” on 22nd March 2023. The session was delivered by Professor Ashwani Agarwal, Advisor: Eskuares Fisiovirtual Solutions. Sir gave his insights on developing the employability through mental wealth and Natural Intelligence which helps in recruitment and selection and finding right person for right job. He discussed about the "Freedom from failure campaign" and how to create best out of waste in which he gave an example of the Shankh and how it converts our exhaled breath into energy and vibrations. Sir said "Nidhi and Ashonidhi" the physical and mental wealth are crucial for deciding your path in life ahead. Another aspect the E² quotient was mentioned in his session. He explained how improving E² quotient along with performance efficiency will improve your skills and employability and lead to success of organization. Last aspect of his session was how Gender contradiction is a barrier to Success. Mind and physical body have separate genders and to avoid conflicts one must keep balance between the two. With the insightful thoughts and interactive questions the session was a great success.

'Finding your inner entrepreneur'

E -Cell JIMS, Kalkaji in association with IIC organised a workshop on 'Finding your Inner Entrepreneur' held on Monday, 27th February, 2023 . The interactive and activity based session was conducted by Metvy Founders, Mr Shawrya Mehrotra and Mr Rajan Luthra. The workshop focused on how to build a cohesive team and create a product that is constantly evolving with the need of the hour. It deliberated on core values like vision, loop learning, developing non technical skills etc as fundamental at early stages and also highlighted possible mistakes that first time entrepreneurs should not make.

Workshop on "Power BI and SQL” on 17th January, 2023

Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, New Delhi, had organized a "Workshop on Power BI and SQL” on 17th January, 2022 for Business Analytics Specializations students of PGDM, 2021-23 batch. Mr Rishu Raj Verma, Senior Data Scientist Manager, Teleperformance was the resource person of the workshop. The workshop introduced Visuals, Power Query (M) and Data Modeling (DAX) to students. Mr. Verma discussed with the participants that how learning Microsoft Power BI and SQL would help in maintaining the data in a precise and accurate way as Power BI is a business analytics service provided by Microsoft for data presentation and visualization. Overall the session was very insightful and interactive.

Guest Lecture on "Life without Ozone: A myth or reality?" on 15 September 2022

JIMS, Kalkaji in collaboration with WWF India organized a guest lecture on the topic "Life without Ozone: A myth or reality?" on 15 September 2022 to observe World Ozone Day. The session was delivered by Dr. G Areendran, Director-IGCMC & Coordinator -ENVIS (MoEFC & CC), WWF India. Students from PGDM & PGDM(IB) 2021-2023 & 2022-2024 attended the session. The speaker shared his views on the topic assigned and touch based upon a wide area of emerging issues like Ozone layers-Tropospheric ozone & Stratospheric ozone, formation role of ozone, UV rays & its types-UVA, UVB, UVC, cause of ozone layers depletion, how chemicals deplete ozone, impacts of ozone depletion, effects on terrestrial plants, effects on Marine ecosystem, ozone Hole in the Antarctic and depletion of Ozone layers harming cheetah. He addressed PGDM and PGDM (IB) 2022-24 students on the topic "The Magic of Branding" and PGDM and PGDM (IB) 2021-23 students on the topic "Seven Mantras for Corporate Success". He gave some valuable insights about gamut of branding and marketing tactics used globally by reputed brands like Tata and Big Bazaar. Sir discussed the three mantras of success-punctuality, sincerity and integrity. He gave industry examples and corporate success stories of Samsung, Bata, T-Series, Godrej, Dabur, Reliance etc. He motivated students how to prepare themselves for corporate challenges by having positive attitude, hard working approach and sincerity. The session was well appreciated by students.

Investor Awareness Programme on 2nd August, 2022

An investor awareness programme was organized on 2nd August, 2022 jointly by Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, New Delhi on Financial Empowerment through Wealth Creation.The keynote address was given by Sh. Suryakant Sharma, Senior Consultant AMFI. He highlighted the importance of financial security for individuals and emphasized on sustained investments. He advised the investors to first think and ensure adequate life insurance, reasonable medical insurance cover and an emergency fund before embarking upon the journey of wealth creation.
Sir made a vehement plea for regular savings and increase of savings every year minimum by 10%. Emphasising on need for wealth creation for prosperity, he advised the investors to not be a money accumulator but also be a wealth creator which only would make them comfortable with regard to their money needs for their milestones in life. He then advised participants that they should look at real return and not on notional return as inflation and tax liability substantially takes away major portion of notional return. At the end, he emphatically cautioned participants not to invest their hard earned money on the advice of others including agents andunregulated fund mobilisation schemes.The session was interactive with questions from the participants joined across the country.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on "Cyber Security, a Complete Solution of Cyber Crime" on 16th July, 2022 for students of PGDM & PGDM (IB) 2022-24. Dr. Navneet Gera, HOD, PGDM (IB) gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the session topic. Ms. Jyoti Kukreja introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Surender Singh, Assistant Professor, CSE department, NIIT University who talked about the need of Cyber security in the changing business scenario and how companies need to be alert in all their web transactions and social media platforms. Sir touched upon various fundamentals of cyber security like cybercrime, cyber threats, hackers, crackers, stagnography, virtualization and bots.
Sir demonstrated Google hacking, Googletalks and search engine analytics and how Robots.txt can be used to allow or disallow crawling information for search by any search engine. The session was highly interactive where students were asked to give their inputs on their understanding about phishing, ransomware, malware, trojan or backdoor, DOS/DDOS (Denial Of Service / Distributed Denial Of Service), virus Vs worms and made them relate with some real-life examples on different softwares for better understanding. Also, he tried to provide insights about what Proxy server is and how it works with FTP, telnet, https, SSL security layering, Firewall and brute force methods.
The session ended with the interaction between both speaker and attendees in which students asked certain questions based on concepts shared by the speaker and sir shared his valuable perspective on the same. It was a highly interactive and knowledgeable session which highlighted the importance of cyber security in the real world.

Guest Lecture on "Digital Health" on 17th May, 2022

A Guest Lecture was organized for students of PGDM and PGDM (IB) batch 2022-2024 on the topic: 'Digital Health' on May 17, 2022 in the online mode. Mr. Rijul Arora, Senior Consultant, EY addressed the students on the content and device management. 30 students attended the session. He shared various techniques and mechanisms to manage the fear of missing out while indulging into digital detoxification. The session was very informative and was found most useful by the students.

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji, New Delhi, had organized an Online Guest Lecture on "Inventory Management", on 30th March, 2022 by Mr. Adarsh Raj, Alumnus and Assistant Manager DHL Supply chain India Pvt. Ltd. He discussed that the primary objective of inventory management technology is to track and utilize inventory in a way that balances business objectives with customer service requirements. In order to optimize a business' financial and operational health, any technology solution that is selected for an implementation must effectively extend to, and integrate with existing solutions. For external stakeholders, the solution must empower the business to go above and beyond to deliver the highest level of customer service. He explained the concept using examples from his day today life. He made the session interactive by asking questions to the students. Students also asked a lot of questions which he answered to their satisfaction. Overall it was a quite a fun way learning session.

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji, New Delhi, had organized an Online Guest Lecture on "Work Study, Method Study and Ergonomics" on 29th March, 2022 by Dr. Rajani Jain, Professor Operations, NIFT Hyderabad. She discussed that work study uses techniques like method study and work measurement to understand human work potential in terms of time spend on completing a task, looking at ways to make the task simpler and easy, as to increase productivity and efficiency. Work study is field used to finding ways of increasing on job performance, optimum usage of plant and machinery, standardization of work methods, etc. It was a learning session for students specially because a lot of examples were given by the faculty which made the session very interesting. Students benefited a lot in terms of knowledge, understanding and conceptual clarity.

With Power BI capabilities and features continually expanding and evolving, it can be a challenge for individuals and business teams to keep up with new visual components, create compelling dashboards, and truly own their data. Alumni Club of JIMS, Kalkaji conducted a guest lecture on the topic "Retail Management" on 18th February, 2022. The guest speaker for the event was Ms. Versha Goel, Senior Sales Officer, Nestle. She started with the quick wrap over the introduction of retail management and then further move towards its function and importance on day-to-day basis. She told students to have sales or Marketing perspective so as to see how the companies do their branding and sales promotion. She also covered various aspects of Retail Management such as Franchise, Chain retailer, Convenience stores, Service Retailing, etc. Overall the session was very interactive and everyone participated and cleared their doubts regarding the Topic 'Retail Management'.

Dr. Neerja Hajela, Sr. General Manager-Science & Regulator Affairs, Yakult Danone India Pvt Ltd. discussed about human's digestive system with special focus on Intestinal Health and role of good bacteria in maintaining a healthy and long life. She further added health benefits of probiotic drink and also suggested how can we build our immunity through probiotics. Overall the session was quite interactive and insightful. JIMS Kalkaji and Sri Ram College of Commerce collaborate for an insightful session on clarifying the concepts of financial technologies for the benefits of students. Corporate work on the format of digital currencies and multiple applications and clarity on this abstruse topic is much needed. Guest Lecture on "Scrappage Policy in India: A Policy Initiative and its Benefits" on 19th January, 2022

An enthralling guest lecture was organised by JIMS Kalkaji on 19th of January on the topic "Scrappage Policy in India" by Mr. Rajesh Joshi, Founder & MD-CEO of Research to Design who is the harbinger of industry competitive design consultation and market insights for automotive engineering and construction by his ornate venture, Research to Design. Previously he has served as a marquee resource with Eicher Trucks & Buses, Tata Technologies and Tata motors. Sir discussed about the contribution of automobile sector in the GDP of India over the years and its multiplying effect. His main focal lied around the clouding pollution in metros caused by the unburnt gases as a byproduct of combustion in the fuel engine further zeroing on the need for a domestic scrappage policy. The students got to know about the "Scrappage Policy", an initiative by the Government of India to curb growing pollution in the country. It was an informative session well appreciated by the students.

JIMS Kalkaji organized an online webinar on "HR Analytics-a practical approach" on 7th January, 2022 by Mr Rahul Sethi, CEO, Protouch. HR Analytics changed the working style of the HR domain and many functions in HR can be done very easily like improving talent acquisition, increasing employees retention, increasing employee's productivity and efficiency and reducing attrition rate. There are various tools and techniques available to analyze HR data sets that help solve issues and concerns in the business and allow management to make quantitative decisions. Sir showed hands-on experience with available data sets and also discussed the importance of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics in the area of HR . He emphasized that Excel can be one of the effective tools to analyze and visualize data. Furthermore, he showed how to analyze data with the help of Excel's solver feature. Overall, the session was very interactive.

Mr. Rahul Ghai, Senior Manager (Talent acquisition plus Campus hiring and Diversity initiatives) initiated his address by highlighting the transitioned role of an HR in a post covid ecosystem, including the drifts in moods of fresher and lateral candidates. He focused upon the cruciality of Learning and Development in inflecting the growth trajectory of an organisation which further made him point out the need of an efficient Human Resource expert, with focus on talent domain. Also mentioning that the infinitesimal data collated in chunks can affect macro level decisions by the senior leaders is a key process to get skilled around. The lecture further strolled into the need to be hands-on with data, number and stats along with capabilities to analyse it with proficiency into various tools. The guest was faced with a few questions ranging from possible reasons for frequent switches to necessary traits to hone while transitioning to a leadership role from an individual contributor. The session was informative and insightful. Students were highly appreciative of the session.

The guest speaker was Mr. Karthik Poovanam, who is an Eminent Speaker and Entrepreneur at Mind Power Reality. He has authored 80 E-books. In his lecture, he emphasized the importance of Techniques to break free from limited thinking like challenges need to be a priority, well being enhancement, look within, increase pleasure quotient and reduce pain quotient, visually practiced and visual image creation. The lecture concluded with an interactive question & answer session and students were satisfied.

NSS Club of JIMS Kalkaji organized an interactive session on " Importance of Self Reliance and Human Values in Management " by HG Amogh Leela Prabhu ji, Vice President, Iskcon Dwarka, & visiting faculty at IIM-A at JIMS auditorium for the students of PGDM and PGDM(IB) 2020-2022 batch. the speaker discussed about the most significant qualities of a great leader by sharing insights from Lord Krishna's life. He touch based upon the various verses from the Bhagavata Gita and enlightened the students about the importance of human values in management. Few of the leadership lessons shared with the students are -a leader should not be attached to his profile, he should be ready to mould himself and provide support wherever required, the flow of evaluation of any person should be Intelligence quotient, emotional quotient and spiritual quotient, the nectar flows from the top i.e. if the leader is good then his/her subordinates and other colleagues will also reciprocate the same values, The leader should be a good listener, the more we listen the more we attract the empathy of others. Overall the session was very informative, interactive and highly enlightening.

Business Analytics Club of JIMS, Kalkaji organized an online workshop on "Advanced Excel" on 12th October, 2021. The workshop was taken by Dr. Prabhat Mittal Professor, Commerce & Management, Satyawati College (E), University of Delhi who discussed about the need of Advanced Excel in the changing business scenario. He shared interesting facts and highlighted that future is Analytics which motivated students to think analytically and kept them engaged throughout the workshop. The session was highly interactive where students were asked to give their inputs on their understanding about Excel and the data shared by Sir for better understanding. Live data made the session even more interesting and lightened a spark in students to learn more about excel.

Sir adopted an interactive approach and made students comfortable on topics of Business Idea. Sir, focused on how to keep our selves motivated during the first / initial stage of business we may have to operate at loss in first level then too we should focus on equilibrium at second level then think of profit at the third level. So we need to have patient throughout in-order to become a successful entrepreneur. The session taught important aspects of how to think out of the box and try to find solution of the happenings.

The NSS club of Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on the topic "The Mahatma: Management reformer in the new millennium" on 7 October, 2021 from 02:45pm onwards, on zoom online meeting platform for the students of PGDM and PGDM(IB). The Speaker for the session was Prof. Prasad Gollanapalli, Managing trustee, 'Gandhi king foundation', affiliated scholar of the King Institute at Stanford University. 155 students participated in the session. Overall the session was very informative and the speaker discussed about Gandhi's principles of Satyagraha. His session was based upon Gandhiji's motto "Be the change you wish to see in the world". He further threw light upon Gandhi's principles of management, how he turned out to be a great recruiter that people believed in his idea, and much more information about the ideologies of Gandhi ji. Overall the session was very informative, interactive and very insightful.

Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji organized a guest lecture on the topic " THE CHANGING DIGITAL LANDSCAPE" on 28 July 2021 from 3:30pm to 4:30 pm on zoom online meeting platform for the students of PGDM and PGDM(IB).120 students participated in the session. Dr. Farlon J Rahaman, Lecturer in Digital Business, Course Leader for BA Business Management (Digital Business) & Digital Champion (SAM),School of Applied Management, University of Westminster was the speaker for the session. She laid emphasis on the various dynamics of e commerce business models. Recent trends of e commerce in pandemic situation were highlighted .She touch based upon the digital areas like digital disruption, digital adjacencies, digital technologies digital innovation. Innovative examples were used to explain the terminologies new to the students. Overall the session was very informative, interactive and very insightful. Guest Lecture on "Role of Accounting in contemporary Business World" on 27th July, 2021

Mr Sanjay Mehrotra, a very senior and renowned resource person in the area of accounting and finance took an online guest lecture for the PGDM & PGDM IB 2021-2023 on July 27, 2021. He explained the importance of using financial statements of companies for obtaining valuable information for making decisions relating to investment, finance, business dealings, etc. Therefore, it's important for young students to understand how business accounting is done and which principles guide financial statements preparation. He also highlighted the impact of different accounting standards on the books of companies across the globe bringing out the need for harmonization of these standards. Mr. Mehrotra, gave many live examples of companies to state his views. Students found his talk interesting and motivating.

JIMS Kalkaji organized a Guest Lecture on the topic "Resolution of Conflicts and Disputes in Cross Culture Context" on 9th April, 2021. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Shraiya Jain, Senior Executive, Capability Development, KPMG. She discussed the meaning of cross cultural not just from geographical point of view but also from many facets of our personal life and also shared the common reasons that lead to arrival of cross cultural differences, where she shared about ethnocentrism and ego issues. She also shared various examples to support that how cross cultural concept comes into picture in the business world. Few examples including Walmart (success in New York and failure in France), KFC (success in western nations but failure in China), Mcdonald's and Dunkin Donuts (advertising the brand showing black person in Thailand). Students also shared the examples of Fair and lovely going Fair and Glow, Myntra (changing it's logo after petition), followed by Amazon changing its logo. Students were mighty inspired with the insights that ma'am shared.

The program aimed to introduce the participants to contemporary difference between pricing and valuation for stocks and the usage of NSMART software. Total 104 participants from all the classes attended it. The resource persons for the session were Mr. Abhishek Dave, Chief Manager, Business Development – Northern Region, Mr. Kunal Tyagi Manager, Business Development – Northern Region and their Technical support team. Topics covered were: Directional trading without continuous monitoring of the markets, Simulator based index trading, Exclusive for Nifty50 & Nifty Bank, F&O and intraday trading, Comprehensive learning of all facets of Capital Market, Reaching the top is important but to sustain that position Is what you learn when you start educating yourself in the stock market. Talk Show on International Women's Day on 8th March, 2021

International Women's day was celebrated on 8th March 2021 in the form of a panel discussion. The guest speakers were Ms. Atisha Juneja, Ms. Vishakha Verma and Ms. Ritika Bhutoria from the corporate leading in HR, Finance and Marketing. The questions shared were on their introduction and journey. Other points of discussion were what women support and inspire on their career path? What gender-specific challenges, stereotypes, or barriers they had to overcome during their career? How hard is it to make it to the top? As women, what advice will they give to their younger self?
The discussion had an interesting rapid fire including questions like, if they were not a professional, what would they be and the quote that motivates them. They also shared their favorite book, authors and movies from where they get inspiration and how they plan to lead post pandemic in the new normal.

In this lecture detailed concepts relating to Transactional Analysis, Ego states, Johari Window and Life Scripts were discussed. The session was introduced with engaging and informative activities to have a practical knowledge of the subject matter in hand. . Towards the end of the lecture Life Scripts were discussed which indicated the personal plans adopted at an early stage by the individuals to external environment.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Shwayatank Ajay, Head-Pan India E-Commerce and Modern Trade North, Beverly Hills, Polo Club, India. He discussed about various concepts and terms used e-Commerce like its infrastructure, technological setup, e-payment methods, online trading, challenges and benefits of e-SCM. He also explained use of SAP and SalesForce tools in driving analytics based SCM and reaping better business results. Students gained abundant knowledge as the lecture was very enriching and informative covering useful facets of e-commerce drivers, analytics applications and student queries.

JIMS Kalkaji, Entrepreneurship Cell organized a Workshop on "Journey of an Entrepreneur" on 29th December, 2020 for all students of PGDM & PGDM (IB). It was taken by Mr. Shawrya Mehrotra, Founder, Metvy accompanied by his mentor Mr. Shadab Mobin. The session included sharing of Mr. Shawrya Mehrotra's journey from being a Kirorimal alumni to a successful entrepreneur who introduced a very successful startup – Metvy Networking. He shared his experience of generating the idea of his business, and the planning involved in it. He was candid enough to admit his downfalls and problems faced in the entire journey but also reiterated the need to constantly chase his dreams to make it a success. Towards the end of the session, the speaker took questions from the audiences to give answers to the curiosity and clear out their confusions. At the end of this fruitful session, students were able to attain a better view into how entrepreneurial factors work and about the hardships and opportunities available to an entrepreneur.

Mr. Mohit, Senior manager, HDFC, AMC took a webinar on Mutual Fund Expert Speak for students of JIMS, Kalkaji. He gave the insights about why investing is required apart from the savings. As by only saving from the salaries we will not be able to fulfill the basic requirements in the near future. He told this by giving the example of how the mobile phones has become a necessary part of the life which was not a part of our life in 1990s. He gave the insight about why to invest in mutual funds and how mutual funds can be beneficial by investing in them for a longer period of time as compounding interest can result in the formation of a larger amount even if we invest a small amount every month rather than investing bigger amount for a small period of time. JIMS Kalkaji participated in the Annual 'Subir Raha Memorial Lecture' on 5th July, 2019 at ONGC Ltd Auditorium, Urja Bhawan, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, by ONGC Ltd, an annual event organised in memory of Late Mr Subir Raha who had contributed immensely to the growth of ONGC as President. The lecture on "How can Corporate Organisations help achieve Sustainable Development goals?" was delivered by Padma Bhushan Dr Kirit S. Parikh, Former Member Planning Commission, Govt of India and Chairman, Integrated Research and Action for Development (IRADe). The lecture covered issues related to sustainable development and contributions of various sectors of the economy and corporate organisations in achieving Sustainable Development goals laid down by UN 45.
