PGDM and PGDM (IB) department of JIMS Kalkaji organized 'Faculty Knowledge Circle' chaired by Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS Kalkaji. Dr. Sanjeela Mathur, Associate Professor, JIMS Kalkaji shared her knowledge on one of the most insightful topic: ‘Design Thinking for Innovation and Decision Making’ on May 9, 2023. The session commenced with the problem of a stuck truck under the bridge which a schoolboy was able to solve with his innovative thinking. The session which was based on case discussion had several key aspects such as being a right mix of sociology, psychology, divergent thinking and convergent thinking. There are various techniques to solve a problem such as either to amplify good, eliminate bad, explore opposites, questioning the assumptions among many more. The approach is all about creating an empathy map that creates a point of value. Overall, the session was found most insightful and useful by all the faculty members.

PGDM and PGDM (IB) department of JIMS Kalkaji organized 'Faculty Knowledge Circle' chaired by Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS Kalkaji. Dr. Navneet Gera, Professor and HOD-PGDM (IB), JIMS Kalkaji shared his knowledge on one of the most insightful topic: ‘Foreign Trade Policy: An Overview and EPCG Scheme’ on April 19, 2023. The session was most interesting as it discussed the Ministry of External Affairs, Aayat Niryat Schemes, Documentation process, HS code, etc. Dr. Gera mentioned various incentives available to the exporters and contribution of India to World GDP. He also further delineated RCMC, DGCI & SEPZs and SEZs becoming more prominently relevant. The Programme Coordinator, Dr. Jyoti Kukreja, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji organized and coordinated the session. All the faculty members were highly appreciative as they found it highly informative.

Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji organised a Faculty Development Program on “NSE NSAMRT Software” with renowned speakers Mr. Himanshu Arora, Stock Market & BFSI Trainer and Mr. Sajal Choudhary from NSE Academy on 27th February 2023. This session was organised especially for faculty members under the head “Train the Trainer” so that they can acquaint students towards Simulator based trading. In this session speakers taught how to trade through NSE NSMART Simulator Software. The session was also attended by the Office Bearers of Finance club. Faculty coordinator for this session Dr. Sandeepa Kaur introduced the Trainers to the audience. This session was designed to make attendees understand active trading, day trading and swing trading with the use of live market environment. “

Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, New Delhi organized an Online Faculty Development Program on “Systematic Literature Review & Bibliometric Analysis” on October 12th, 2022 by Dr. Sahil Gupta. Dr. Gupta discussed the importance and steps involved in conducting Systematic Literature Review with various research paper publications from different functional areas. He also discussed that what precaution to be taken care while conceptualizing research papers. He also showed hand on session for doing Bibliometric analysis using software tool Vosviewer. The FDP sessions turned out to be a very insightful for the entire participants for publishing research papers in the area of “Systematic Literature Review “

JIMS Kalkaji organized a Faculty Development Programme on the topic: "How to Develop MOOC Courses" on Monday 16th May, 2022. The session was delivered by Dr. Tejinderpal Singh, Associate Professor at University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Marketing and Business Communications (IJMBC). Dr. Singh is a successful MOOC instructor who has developed and delivered the ‘Digital Marketing’ MOOC courses ranked among the top 15 online courses worldwide (amongst the top 5 in India) on the SWAYAM platform of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Dr. Tejinderpal Singh deliberated the session on the importance of MOOC courses and how to develop a MOOC course. He explained how MOOC courses can be engaging and interactive and how it helps to contribute back to society. He discussed the framework of instructional course plan design for developing MOOC courses by faculty members. He emphasized the initiation phase to define the Course learning Outcome and measure it followed by subject content development. Also, explained how content development along with video development strategic planning is important in making MOOC course content effective and engaging. Dr. Singh explained how the video of short duration with supporting E-resources can keep viewers engaged. Dr. Tejinderpal Singh also addressed many queries of our faculty members and also shared his experiences in developing MOOC courses. The session was very informative and insightful. Faculty members were highly appreciative of the session.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized two days FDP on "Qualitative Analysis Using NVIVO" on 23rd Feb 2022 & 2nd March 2022. The resource person was Dr. Navneet Gera, Professor & HOD, PGDM (IB), JIMS, Kalkaji who initiated the session and discussed about qualitative methods used in data analysis. On first day, Dr. Gera emphasised on using mixed methods which involves both quant data and quali data which increases validity of results. Transcripts were imported in NVIVO for content analysis. Techniques such as word frequency, text analysis and word cloud were used to analyse the data. Different methods of coding were discussed during FDP. Auto-Coding and manual coding both were discussed. On second day, Sentimental analysis using NVIVO was demonstrated and tweets from twitter handle related to #MakeinIndia and Blockchain were explored for positive and negative sentiments.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a six day AICTE sponsored STTP, Phase-III on "Training to enhance Emotional Intelligence in academics to Connect with next generation students" from Monday, 19th July to Saturday, 24th July 2021 on the Zoom platform. JIMS, Kalkaji organized an internal FDP on "Capitaline Database" on 31st March, 2021. Hands- on training on the Capitaline Database was given to the faculty members. Mr. Amit from Capitaline gave a detailed training to the faculty on the Capitaline database. He gave in depth over view of the 35,000 Indian listed and unlisted companies, classified under more than 300 industries, along with powerful analytic tools. Extensive data and analysis on every company profile, directors, more than 10-year financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, consolidated financial data, segment data, forex data, R&D data, ratios, etc), quarterly results, ownership pattern, finished products, raw materials, share price data, directors' report, management discussion, notes to account, business news, corporate events, etc. were shown. It was an interactive session and all the faculty members participated enthusiastically in the session.

PGDM Department of JIMS Kalkaji organized Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Training to enhance Emotional Intelligence in academicians to Connect with next generation students" from February 1-6, 2021. The galaxy of experts included Dr. Kavita Singh, Faculty in Organization Behaviour and Change, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi; Ms. Shubhangi Goswami, SRF, Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT, Kharagpur, licensed Clinical Psychologist (certified by Rehabilitation Council of India); Ms. Kalpana Sahoo is an Assistant Professor in Organizational Behaviour at Xavier School of Human Resource Management, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, India; Ms. Lata Singh Dasila is the Founder-Director of Meraviglia EQ Academy; Dr. Netra Neelam, PhD Guide, Symbiosis International University; Dr. Priti Dhawan, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi; Dr. Ashok Sharma - Director, Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji and Ms. Rekha Bharadwaj – Senior Advisor – NIESBUD ( International Training). These connoisseurs shared their wealth of knowledge on various aspects of personality dimensions of conflict resolution and self-awareness for emotions management.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Faculty Development Program on “Training for Google Class Room” on 14th July, 2020. Faculty members were briefed and demonstrated on exploring Google Classroom for Teaching, Assessing, and Evaluating through Grading, Managing a class, posting material, organising material, student assignment etc. and many more tasks. Both the basics and some advanced features to start Online Classes on Google Classroom were discussed.

A Faculty Development Program on “Best Practices for Securing Zoom Online Classes for Teachers in COVID-19 Landscape” was conducted on 4th May, 2020 by Dr. Mukul Mishra, Associate Professor, JIMS Kalkaji. All faculty members of PGDM and PGDM (IB) participated in this live session. He demonstrated application of security features while using tools of Online Education. Various options of security enhancement in Zoom 5 cloud app were shown.

A Faculty Development Program on “Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems" was conducted on 21st April, 2020 by Dr. S. K. Breja, Controller of Examination, JIMS Kalkaji. All faculty members of PGDM and PGDM (IB) participated in this live session. He discussed aspects of Quality Control in audit, roles and responsibilities of the Auditor and foundations of audit process.

JIMS Kalkaji organised a Faculty Development Program on 'Design Thinking in Management and Business Plan' on January 5, 2019. Mr. Udit Bhattacharya, Innovation Strategist along with Mr. Arvind Patil and Mr. Shrikant Ghode, Product Designer, Pearl Academy addressed the faculty members.

Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was held in Kalkaji Campus from 14th to 26th May 2018 on Research Methods and Data Analytics .It aimed at enhancing the teaching and research skills of faculty, researchers and trainers. It added value to their core competency and enhanced their operational efficiency in the usage of statistics and interpretation of research data of the participants. This provided an insight to predictive analytics.. The FDP was designed to develop an understanding of data analytics tools and techniques used for fact based decision making with the use of software R and R Studio and advanced Excel.

Faculty Development Program on "Use of Data Analytics was conducted at, JIMS, Kalkaji. Dr. Sen took up a couple of cases to illustrate how machine learning is helpful for fraud detection.

Fraud has become a major problem in e-commerce and a lot of resources are being invested to recognize and prevent it. The fraud detection models that were discussed were based on decision trees, random forest and logistic regression approaches. Open source R programming Language was used for the analysis.

JIMS Kalkaji organized a one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on ‘Research Methodology and Data Analysis Using SPSS & AMOS’ in association with QT Analytics, a statistical consulting, training and education provider. The FDP was conducted by professional experts and eminent academicians Participants varying from research scholars to academicians and industry experts were from reputed corporates like National Stock Exchange, Institute of Economic Growth ,Kurukshetra University, Amity University, Amity University.

The FDP focused on skill development for Data Management by using statistical software packages like IBM SPSS 19.0 and AMOS. The training modules were specifically designed to provide comprehensive information about research methods, developing research proposals, hypothesis testing and data mining by using regression analysis..
