JIMS Kalkaji organized a Fourth Round Table with DCCU University Bucharest, Romania on the topic "Consequences of Russia-Ukraine War: The Economic Fallout" on 23rd November, 2023.
The Fourth Round Table was graced by a panel of experts: Dr. Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman, JIMS; Dr. Marja Liisa, Professor & Rector, DCCU Bucharest Romania; Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS Kalkaji; Prof. Georgeta Ilie, Professor, DCCU Bucharest, Romania.
The eminent panelists included Dr. Neelam Tandon, JIMS Kalkaji and speakers from the panelists wherein they highlighted the importance and impact of Russia- Ukraine war on some major key issues and How War in Ukraine Is Reverberating Across the World's Region. Speakers touched on the major points, the overall economic fallout is still difficult to predict, the impact will be different for different parts of the World. It concluded well with an Open House Discussion among the panel speakers and addressed questions with a solution driven approach under the coordinatorship of Ms. Shilpi Yadav, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.

AI : The Game Changer for Corporate Innovation

JIMS Kalkaji organized BA Seminar on the topic “AI : The Game Changer for Corporate Innovation” on 20 October 2023 from 1:40 pm – 3:40 pm at JIMS Auditorium. The speakers for the seminar were Dr. Kamna Pandey, Founder, Mypeepal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. And Mr. Sidharth Ghosh, Head Program Management, Optical Networking Business at Sterlite Technologies. The event started with the introduction of the speakers who are have great expertise in the area of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Mr. Ghosh gave introduction to AI and enlightened the audience with basic concepts of Machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL) . He shared insights into how corporates these days are upgrading in term of technology by using AI tools in the supply chain and overall management. He also explained the difference between AI, ML and DL and how recent innovations and upgradations are implemented in tech industry by quoting real life examples. Afterwards Dr. Kamini Pandey gave a basic overview on AI and how corporates are benefitted by it. She also compared AI with human minds and how corporates have been adaptive and upgrading continuously to ease out human work.The aim of both the speakers was to make young minds understand the need for AI and how corporates these days demand high end skills like data mining.The session ended with Q&A round and a vote of thanks by providing memento to both the esteemed guests.Overall the event was insightful and students expanded their knowledge in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

National HR Seminar on “AI in HR: Integration of People and Technology to Create Business Value” on 14th October, 2023

JIMS Kalkaji organized the national human resource seminar titled, “AI in HR: Integration of People and Technology to Create Business Value” at JIMS Kalkaji Auditorium on 14th October 2023. The guests of honor of the event were Mr. Sandeep Girotra Executive Director & CHRO. DCM Shriram and Dr. Aquil Busrai CEO, Aquil Busrai Consulting, FMR Director (HR) IBM & SHELL. The speakers for the event were Dr. G.P. Rao Founder and Managing Partner GPR HR Consulting LLP, Mr. Saurabh Rai CEO of Arahas Technologies, Mr. Neeraj Narang Global HCM, Strategy Director & Apac Lead, Oracle, Ms. Archna Bhardwaj HR Leader and Mentor, Ms. Kuljeet Kaur Senior Manager, IOC, Mr. Manmohan Bhutani Country Head, Apolis India.
The inaugural session commenced with the welcome address by Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Ex-Director General and Advisor to the Chairman JIMS. He emphasized the ethical use of AI and explained how Chat GPT can become beneficial in personalized learning, case study analysis, and business planning in higher education. Mr. Sandeep Girotra explained the technological evolution in the music industry from a turntable record player to cassettes, CDs, DVDs, MP3, and pen drives, and now to Spotify. He deliberated that nothing can replace social connection but at the same time, it is essential to be agile and accept technological change. Dr Aquil Busrai emphasized maintaining the balance between technology and Human Connect. He explained how AI works silently and has changed lifestyles and reduced the operational costs of firms with the application of Predictive Attrition analysis. It is important to be well-versed with technological changes and learn to cope with the speed of change. Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS Kalkaji shared his views that human connection cannot be replaced by any technology, but we can adapt technology for the betterment of society. Technology should be used wisely but Human Touch should not be lost.
Mr. GP RAO commenced the panel discussion with an emphasis on technological integration and human development. He emphasized the significance of AI in automating processes, analyzing vast datasets, and enabling machines to make decisions, ultimately revolutionizing various industries. Mr. Neeraj's Perspective explains how AI involves the artificial creation of intelligence within machines. He suggested that during interviews, paying attention to subtle cues like eye movements and hand gestures can provide valuable insights. These non-verbal cues can offer a deeper understanding of a candidate's suitability for a role. Saurabh Rai's insights shed light on the importance of predictive and descriptive models in the field of data analysis. He highlighted the need for accurate data parameters, such as salary and the nature of work, to ensure the correctness and reliability of these models. Saurabh emphasized that conducting numerous surveys is essential for conducting sentiment analysis effectively. This involves the aggregation of words and phrases from various sources, leading to a comprehensive understanding of sentiment. Miss Archana Bhardwaj highlights the topic of grievance handling within HR and contrasts it with certain hiring practices. She raised a significant concern about the emphasis placed on physical appearance during the hiring process. Archana pointed out that in some cases, candidates may be hired or not based on their looks rather than their qualifications, which can lead to biases in recruitment. However, she also emphasized that in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), these biases are often eliminated. The hiring process in AI relies solely on an individual's talents and qualifications relevant to the position they are applying for, ignoring irrelevant factors like appearance. Mr. Manmohan Bhutani unequivocally asserted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a game changer. AI's potential is so significant that it can be considered a transformative force in today's world. Moreover, Mr. Bhutani highlighted the power of AI in identifying inflection points in advance. Predictive capability is a crucial aspect of AI, enabling businesses and organizations to anticipate critical turning points, make informed decisions, and stay ahead of the curve. Ms. Kuljeet acknowledged the game-changing potential of technology but also emphasized that human existence remains at the core of innovation, underscoring the need to strike a balance between technological advancements and human-centric values. She explained how Indian Oil Corporation has used sentiment analysis at its retail outlets to ensure customers’ happiness. These valuable tips offer diverse perspectives on the integration of AI, ethics, technology, and human elements in our rapidly changing world. Dr. Saniya Chawla expressed her heartfelt thanks to esteemed members and all those who had made the event possible.

A National Marketing Seminar on “Sustainability in Marketing: Balancing Profit and Purpose in a Changing World” was organized on 14th April 2023, in the auditorium of JIMS Kalkaji. Host for the day was Dr. Gopika Kumar, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji. The program began with the welcome address by Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS Kalkaji. Dr.Mukul Mishra, Associate Professor (Marketing & International Business) JIMS Kalkaji and the program coordinator of the seminar, gave the Introductory address highlighting the importance of “Sustainable Marketing” in the contemporary business scenario. Key note speaker for the day was Dr. D.K Batra, Professor (Marketing) & Chairperson Branding and Media relations for IMI New Delhi. The Technical session started with the address by the Guest of Honor, Mr. Ashok Jangra, Head - India Markets (Retail Sales & Trade Marketing), Logitech followed by speakers Mr. Ashwin Bhatia, Leadership Coach, Start-up Mentor, Strategy & Development Consultant and Mr. Saket Sinha, Director Sustainability Actions (P) Ltd. The day’s session ended with the delivery of Vote of Thanks by Dr. Nupur Rao, Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.

Seminar on India’s G20 Presidency: Sustainable development and Women-led-Development on 28th Feb 2023

JIMS Kalkaji organized a seminar on the topic of “India’s G20 Presidency: Sustainable Development and Women-led Development” on 28th February, 2023. The Inaugural session was witnessed by Maj. Gen. Dr. Rajan Kochhar (VSM)-Chief Guest), Mrs Yogita Singh (MCD Councillor), Dr. Shailly Kedia (Associate Director, TERI) and Dr Neerja Hajela (Asst. V.P, Yakult). Dr. Anuj Verma (Director, JIMS, Kalkaji) extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented green initiatives. Dr. Navneet Gera (HOD, PGDM-IB) presented vote of thanks to the dignitaries, colleagues and students. Inaugural session was followed by two technical sessions on sustainable development and women led development. Teams of students presented their views and were evaluated by external judge, Dr Nishu Ayedee. The winners from technical sessions were awarded certificates and cash prize of Rs 1000. Sustainable Development track winners were Himanshu Gupta, Madhav Gupta and Divya Sharma and Women-led Development track winners were Shreya and Varun. Overall, the event was a great success, providing a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills on the topic of G20.

Finance Seminar on "The Changing Landscape of Indian Capital Markets in Investments" on 14th January 2023

JIMS Kalkaji Finance seminar was held on 14th January 2023 at JIMS auditorium on the topic, “The Changing Landscape of Indian Capital Markets in Investments”. Director JIMS Kalkaji, Dr. Anuj Verma in his welcome address elaborated on the significance of the changing landscape of Indian capital market for the domestic investors. Initially the seminar was inclined towards “The resilience of the Indian Capital Market” and was commenced by Prof. Alok Pandey, Dean G.D Goenka University; Chairman IAdc, MCX India Ltd. Furthermore, our second speaker for the seminar, CA Nitin Vashista, Chief Financial Officer, PHDCCI, Delhi gave his take on “The Changing Landscape of Indian Capital Markets”. The third guest of the day Mr. Surya Kant Sharma, Senior Consultant, AMFI shared his views about “Investment avenues in the Capital Markets and Investment Dynamics”.The session was concluded by Dr. Neelam Tandon, Professor & HOD, PGDM, JIMS, Kalkaji who further delivered the vote of thanks. In the end, Director of JIMS Kalkaji Dr. Anuj Verma felicitated all the guests with a memento as a token of respect from the Institution.

International Trade Seminar on November 28th, 2022

JIMS Kalkaji in collaboration with FIEO, organized a seminar on "India's New Foreign Trade Policy: Issues, Challenges and Prospects in a Fast Changing Global Economic Environment” on 28th November, 2022 at JIMS, Kalkaji auditorium. Several eminent speakers were invited to share their thoughts and wisdom with regard to the foreign trade policy and India’s position in global economic dynamics. The welcome address of the inaugural ceremony was delivered by Dr Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman and Fmr. Director General, JIMS who gave a general overview of post pandemic economic stance of India with regard to the Russia Ukraine war, Supply Chain disruption, Energy and fuel crisis. The audience was addressed by Dr.S.P.Sharma, Chief Economist, PHDCCI who threw light on the economic growth of India drawing comparisons from the past and placing the present growth rate of India within the purview of international implications. Dr. A. K. Sengupta, Fmr Dean, IIFT and Professor, JIMS shared his knowledge about the factors responsible for India’s economic growth including digitisation, Energy Reforms, Atmanirbhar Bharat among others. Chief Guest Dr. Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO imparted essential knowledge on exports being the key to economic success for India, calling the real income of a nation. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji with momentos and tokens of appreciation being conferred to all the respected speakers. A panel discussion was conducted by Mr. Mithileshwar Thakur, Panel Chairperson, Fmr Addnl. Director General, DGFT, GOI who enlightened the audience with FTAs and their issues. Dr. Ram Singh, Professor, IIFT explained the different types of exports and their importance in the economic growth of a country specially India. Ms Amala Srivastava, Head Designer, EPCH enlightened the audience with the importance of studying market trends and consumption patterns which can lead to forecasting and appropriate strategy creation. The discussion was concluded with the suggested incorporation of effective production strategies, consumption patterns study, focus on gathering FDI and signing FTAs with heavy emphasis on exports as key factor to propel India’s economic growth. Further discussing about the topic that how climate change poses new challenges to Central bank, regulators and supervisors she invited Dr. Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman of JIMS to deliver a welcome address. Mr. Bharat Moossadde, Chief Guest, CFO - Mahindra and Mahindra shared his views upon the topic highlighting the implementation at institutional, governmental and investors level. Dr. Naliniprava Tripathy, Dean-Finance and Control - IIM Shillong highlighted the significance of low carbon economy. Dr. Raj Singh, Professor of Practice- University of California spoke about various Green Finance Projects, Pollution prevention and control. Mr. B.M.K Gupta, Deputy General Manager, PNB, Zonal office, New Delhi acclaimed PNB as 127 years young organization. He mentioned several loan initiatives for E-vehicles, solar panels, etc.

CA Nitin Vashista, Director of Finance, PHDCCI shared different physical and transitional risks with greenhouse gases. The increased desire for an empathetic approach from businesses will not go away in 2021. These trends were growing in prominence prior to last year, and the pandemic has only accelerated these changes. For businesses to satisfy this need, they must continue to humanise their interactions with customers. However, by utilising AI we can leverage more from our increasing volumes of data and use it to engage with customers in a manner which is suitably personalised and empathetic.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Webinar on "Paving our way through times of Covid: Being a student- an experience on its own is both a challenge and an opportunity" by Ms. Hargun Kaur Gujral who is a masters in Psycho-Social Clinical Studies and holds a license from CID-Unesco (France) to practice as an Expressive Arts Therapist. She is a trained PGD in guidance and counselling with young adults and teens. In her session she explained screen time management, how to use time as an opportunity to bond and build self care, deal with anxieties and fear of an uncertain future, management and building of life skills required in the changing times, reflecting on what learning really means to each, discovering creative ways to lead a healthy lifestyle and management of money. The students were highly satisfied with this session and got useful tips to combat difficulties in life.

JIMS Kalkaji organized an enlightening workshop on the topic "How to Publish in High-Impact Journals" on 20th April 2024. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shruti Traymbak and Ms. Aastha Behl, both esteemed experts in the field of academic publishing.
The primary objective of the workshop was to guide and assist researchers and academicians, in understanding the intricacies of publishing research papers in reputed and high-impact journals. The event aimed to bridge the gap between quality research and its effective dissemination, emphasizing the importance of contributing valuable insights to the academic community.
Dr. Shruti Traymbak commenced the workshop by highlighting the significance of choosing the right journal for publication. She discussed the criteria that researchers should consider while selecting a journal, including the journal's scope, impact factor, readership, and publication ethics. Dr.Traymbak also provided valuable insights into the peer-review process, emphasizing its role in maintaining the quality and credibility of published research.
Following Dr.Traymbak's session, Ms. Aastha Behl delved into the technical aspects of preparing and structuring a research paper for submission to high-impact journals. She elaborated on the essential components of a research paper, such as the abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion. Ms. Behl shared practical tips and strategies for writing effectively, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to the journal's guidelines.
Throughout the workshop, participants were encouraged to actively engage with the speakers, asking questions, sharing their experiences, and seeking guidance on specific challenges they face in the publication process. Survival of Start-ups in India Using Lean Methods on 19th February, 2024

Survival of Start-ups in India Using Lean Methods is the workshop conducted by JIMS Kalkaji in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). The inaugural session started with a welcome speech followed by lamp lightning ceremony by the dignitaries on the stage. Followed by this our key note speakers for the first half of the day were welcomed with the JIMS Green Initiative as a mark of honor and gratitude by the Director, Dr. Anuj Verma and the Head of the Department, Dr. Navneet Gera.
Thereafter a panel discussion round started with the eminent speakers who shared their success stories as well as the challenges being face by them while setting up and enduring their start-ups. Our first guest speaker of the day was Mr. Sameer Panda (Founder-TJ Tyres). He spoke in length about the role of innovation and technology in making any startup successful as well as the relevance of eco-friendly technologies to make the world a better living space. Our second keynote speaker of the day was Mr. Aseem Gupta (Founder- Sahy Electric). First, he talked about EV charge technology and how it can be used to create a cheaper and cleaner charging option. He also emphasized on creating a more sustainable environment through better use of resources and minimizing wastage. He also shared some insightful experiences with the audience and the struggles their venture had to face in the form of lack of sufficient funding and other documentation hurdles while raising finance. The third keynote speaker for the session was Mr. Gulshan Sharma (Founder of Falhari). Mr. Gulshan shared in detail about the customizable fruit packets, salads to juices, smoothies and yoghurts and the nutritional value associated with the consumption of fruits and salads at the right time during the day. He also shared some interesting stories from the time their start-up was in conception stage.
Dr. Navneet Gera presented and shared the findings of his funded empirical project related to the survival of the start-ups in India granted by ICSSR with the entire audience. The day was ended on a vibrant and promising note with a valedictory session by Director, Dr. Anuj Verma, JIMS with a vote of thanks to all the panelists and organizers of the workshop. PGDM students who were part of the organizing team were also distributed with certificates as a gesture of appreciation. With this thought in mind, The Entrepreneurship Cell & Institution Innovation Council of Jagannath International Management School conducted a workshop on ANGEL INVESTING’.

At the event, Dr. VK Arora shared his precious insights into the importance of making investments in a startup. How we can become Angel Investor, sir believe that the startup is the future of India in the upcoming year and the job will be at declining stage and people will do their own start-up. Sir believes that we should all invest in startups to multiply our investment or to earn money, He told us what problems startups are facing, what available options for funding who are angel investors, he said that the main problem that a startup faces is funding or money to run that startup, so they need investment or money to run that startup there are various options for raising funds some of them are self-arranged, induced investment, bank loans, private equity, and Angel investment. Angel investors are those who are successful entrepreneurs who are actively involved in investing, and they are committed to dedicating their time and staying engaged with the venture they support. The Angel investor provides funding to startups in the early stages of development ventures, to diversify risk he invests in multiple startups he also has great knowledge of the market provides mentorship and guidance to startups, and often has a long-term perspective. Angel investing can be a rewarding way to support innovation and entrepreneurship, but it also requires careful consideration education, and willingness to take a calculated risk.

Students took important lessons about being an excellent entrepreneur from this activity. First, who are Angel investors, what they can give to startups, what things we want to see while investing in a startup, the procedure of how a startup raises funds, and how we can become an investor.

The speech was concluded with the wise saying “Make more investment as it matters”.

The session was a success and the students found it very interactive and knowledgeable for them.

At the event, Mr. HP SINGH shared his precious insights into the importance of doing business in our lives. How we can take initiative to do business, sir believe that in business we can explore many things rather than do the job. Sir believes that we should all think about doing business, our long-term motive should be doing that and he explained how we can start a business, He told us what problems we can face and gave a solution as well, First he said that we all have an idea but we have to implement it is first and the foremost thing, the second problem he addressed was that we need funds or money to start a business then he gave a solution he said that we all are eligible to take loans from the government through MSME and last is knowledge. He gave real-life examples of many businesses like Subway, Zara lijjat papad, Delhi chaat Wala, etc. who faced many difficulties in starting a business but are earning crores of Rs then he tells us about the Business Model Canvas Which is a powerful tool for planning and visualizing a business idea. It consists of Nine key building blocks Customer Segmentation, value proposition, channels, customer relationship, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnership, and cost structure Lastly, he told us how to use the Canvas Model in Business.

Students took important lessons about being an excellent entrepreneur from this activity. First, discuss and research what kind of business we can do, then take the initiative to set up, then find the solution to problems we can face, and lastly apply the business canvas model to successfully run the business.

Workshop on "Strategies to Crack Interview for your Dream Job" on 11th August, 2023

Training and Placement Department of JIMS Kalkaji organized an insightful workshop on ‘Strategies to Crack Interview for your Dream Job’ on August 11, 2023 in the campus auditorium for PGDM & PGDM (IB) 2022-2024. Ms. Divya Singh, Image Consultant and Founder, Skilldify Studio and an alumna of PGDM batch 2016-2018 leveraged loads of industry-ready knowledge to the career aspirants. She being an etiquette educator, and a communication and confidence development trainer, helped students in cultivating and upgrading their appearance in accordance with their roles and life goals. Overall the workshop enriched the personality of the students.

ProwessIQ Training Session on 9th August, 2023

JIMS Kalkaji organized a PROWESSIQ Training Session for the students of PGDM Batch 2022-2024 & Batch 2023-2025 on 9th August, 2023 in the campus auditorium. Ms. Pratima, Business Relationship Manager, PROWESSIQ provided the training for using the software. The speaker started by how ProwessIQ is an interactive querying system to find companies from the Prowess database. It consists of a client software that provides an interface to construct and submit queries over the internet to the Prowess database and receive answers to the queries from the database. Overall the session was a great learning experience.

Workshop on “Ideation & Back of the Envelope” on 3rd August, 2023

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a workshop on ““Ideation & Back of the Envelope”on 3rd August, 2023. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council. The guest speakers of the workshop were the Founders of Metvy, Shawrya Mehrotra and Co-Founder Rajan Luthra. The workshop started with finding the reason on why one should take on this entrepreneurial journey and choosing the right path. The students were taught the hypothesis of finding a solution to a valuable problem, market feasibility and minimum viable product .The workshop was focused on how to build a team and create a product that is constantly evolving with the need of the hour.

Export Workshop - International Trade Procedures and Payments on 27th December 2022

JIMS KALKAJI organised an export Workshop for PGDM and PGDM –IB Students on 27 th Dec 2022. Resource persons for the Export workshop were Shri K K Vatsa (Shri K. K Vatsa has been superannuated as Dy Gen Manager from Bank of Baroda and served as a chief faculty with NIBSCOM) and Dr. Navneet Gera (Professor, JIMS KALKAJI).
Export Workshop was intended to educate the participants about e-IEC (importer exporter code no), INCO (International commercial terms) and Payment methods. Dr Navneet Gera (Organiser) extended welcome to all the participants from JIMS KALKAJI, Jaypee Business School, Sukhmani group of Institution and other B-School students. In the beginning Dr. Navneet Gera – demonstrated the steps for getting an e-IEC(importer exporter code) from DGFT (Director General of Foreign Trade). He then discussed about steps of registration process and deliberated about DGFT, EPC, FIEO and chamber of commerce. Inco-terms framed by International Chamber of Commerce were discussed during this Export Workshop. Dr. Gera discussed the 11 INCO terms with the help of practical examples. The discussion was well carried on Mr. K K Vatsa by sharing valuable information and making the discussion more practical through ‘mechanism of letter of credit’. Mr Vatsa discussed on payment terms that is Letter of credit and its types. Practical insights of the trade were dealt through cases. Session - on Trade Analytics – Dr. Gera discussed the trade potential of India using trade map. Dr Gera demonstrated the procedure to find out competitiveness of India’s products using RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage). Q&A session was conducted to resolve the queries of learners. Valedictory of the session was chaired by the Director (Dr. Anuj Verma) -Certificates to the participants were given.

Workshop on "Visionary Leaders who are also Passionate Achievers" on 17th September, 2022

JIMS Kalkaji planned a series of workshops on "Leadership and Team Building" for which Mr. Ignace Hindrick, Business Development Manager, Belgium & Director of DMH Business Advisors Pvt. Ltd. was identified as the resource person. The first online session of this series was held on 17th September 2022 on the topic "Visionary Leaders who are also Passionate Achievers". The workshop was meant for all PGDM and PGDM IB students. He started the session describing the four traits of successful Leaders. He gave numerous examples of visionary leaders: Mr. Ratan Tata, Steve Jobs and Howard Schulz to name a few. The students and the faculties attended the session in good number and were quite happy gaining insights into the leadership world. The session was followed by Q&A session in which students and faculties asked a few questions which Mr. Hindrick explained well. At the end, the faculty coordinator, Dr. Nupur Rao gave the Vote of thanks.

Entrepreneurship Cell of JIMS, Kalkaji with the objective to foster entrepreneurship skills among students organized a workhop on "BUSINESS IDEA GENERATION" on 8th August, 2022 which was taken by Dr. Vikas Rajput PhD London Business School, National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) Certified ,CEO, Parallel Living Research Center And Academic Consultant at the proposed Lemon School of Entrepreneurship. Dr. Vikas shared his precious insights about the importance of identifying problems in our daily life and finding innovative solutions to those problems. Interactive activities were conducted to make students realize how creative they can be and that each and every problem has a solution. The session was a success and the students found it very interactive and knowledgeable for them.

Workshop on "Data Analysis & Visualization using Advanced Excel and Power BI" on 31st March, 2022

Business Analytics Club of JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Workshop on "Data Analysis & Visualization using Advanced Excel and Power BI" on Thursday, 31st March, 2022. Ms. Palak Gupta, Assistant Professor, JIMS, Kalkaji and Business Analytics Club Head, gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the workshop topic. The workshop was taken by Mr.Rohan Vij, Associate & Analyst, Protiviti Consulting who discussed the use of Advanced Excel for quick, effective and real time analysis on huge datasets. Features of conditional formatting pivot analysis, shortcut keys, lookup to advanced formulas etc. were practiced on datasets. He also demonstrated effective use of visualization and dashboards by applying slicers and timers. The visualization was then mapped to Power BI focussing on how this new platform yields better analysis as it is loaded with many advanced options. It is highly used in all sectors for real time analysis, quick reporting, effective competitive analysis and operational to strategic decision making. The session was highly appreciated by the students who got an excellent hands-on session. Live data made the session even more interesting and lightened a spark in students to learn more about Advanced Excel and Power BI.

Staff Development Programme on 31st March, 2022

A Staff Development Programme on Personality Assesment was organized on 31st March 2022. Dr. Anju Shukla , Assistant Professor in HRM and Organisation Behaviour addressed the Staff. Keeping in mind the relevance of assessing and improving Personality of an individual as personality is a scientifically - proven predictor of job performance, motivation , commitment behavioural tendencies of an employess in a work environment. It allows the eployees as well as employers to have a better understanding of themselves so as to work in an effective and efficient manner. Dr. Shukla helped the staff in assessing their personality types. Once the staff had a better understanding of their personalities, they could have a better look at their strength and weeknesses. Also, it helps to know their core strength areas and the areas to work on. The session was highly appreciated by the staff.

Workshop on "Power BI" on 25th March, 2022

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji, New Delhi organized a Workshop on "Power BI" on March 25, 2022 under the coordinatorship of Dr. Shruti Traymbak and Ms. Shilpi Yadav . It helped students to get introduced to Visuals, Power Query (M) and Data Modeling (DAX). Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to turn unrelated sources of data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights. Mr Havish, Founder @ Havish M. Consulting discussed with participants how learning Microsoft Power BI will help in maintaining the data in a precise and accurate way. Power BI is a business analytics service provided by Microsoft for data presentation and visualization. It is designed to be simple and intuitive for new learners. Power BI also provides advanced features for power users and learning to master these advanced functions may be hard for learners without previous BI experience. Overall session was very insightful and interactive. Participants from various industries and institutes actively participated in the workshop.

Workshop on "Managing Self & Others using DISC" on 31st Dec, 2021

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Workshop on "Managing self & others using DISC" by Mr. Ravi Kapur, Managing Director, Absolute Security & Facility. Sir discussed different personality traits within human behaviour through DISC which is a wonderful self-exploration assessment tool in which the Personal Profile System describes one's behavioural tendencies: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. He discussed that people are most effective when they use information about their style to adapt or modify their behaviour, to meet the needs of other people and their work environment. Students appreciated its practical relevance and enjoyed the session a lot.

Staff Development Programme on 12th Aug, 2021

A Staff Development Programme on 'Enhancing Verbal Communication Skills' of the staff was organised on August 12, 2021. Ms. Jyoti Kukreja, Assistant Professor, Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, New Delhi shared various tips and tricks to enhance verbal communication skills of the staff members. Excellence is not an act but a habit with JIMS and making spoken skills is both requisite and a contemporary skill in today's world. Thus, what can make message effective when wrapped in the right set of words was discussed in detail. She shared various words and phrases along with some notifications involved such as in tone and pitch of the voice. Staff was really delighted with such a detailed session and looks forward to more such development programmes.

A workshop "From One Campus to Another" was organized in association with HDFC AMC from 31st August 2021 to 7th September 2021 on various topics like equity markets, debt markets, mutual funds, financial planning, communication skills and interview skills. We had great industry experts as our honourable speakers who gave meaningful insights about the above-mentioned topics. It added great value to the knowledge of the students & enabled them to gain a wider perspective. Mr. Sandeep Singhi, Cluster head, HDFC AMC Ltd., provided an insightful session on equity markets where he started with the basics of the market followed by the types of market capitalizations and asset allocation. Mr. Krishan Sharma, National lead – Training, HDFC AMC Ltd. provided his views on financial planning and how it can lead to financial freedom. Mr. Mihir Shah, Joint AVP – L&D, HDFC AMC Ltd., provided learnings on communication skills and how it can help us build an effective communication resulting into build up of trust and relationship between the speaker and listener.

Mr. Pawar Kumar, Head Trainer Digital Institute of Digital Marketing, took the session on tools and technique of digital marketing. JIMS, Kalkaji organized Staff Development Program on "Emotions- The lens to the World." on Saturday 13th March 2021 by Ms. Bhoomika. The one day training was conducted to provide employees a broad knowledge of self advancement in terms of emotions which would lead the employees to understand interpersonal relationships at the workplace too. The following two activities were performed – Chit picking – every employee had to enact on the emotions ad others to recognize the emotion and Expressing thoughts- The trainer asked all the employees to draw emotions on a sheet a paper.

Workshop on "HR Analytics" from 2nd-7th November, 2020

JIMS, Kalkaji organized a Workshop on "HR Analytics" from 2nd-7th November, 2020. A six day HR Analytics workshop was conducted to provide an overview of HR analytics as well as several hands-on demonstrations. Participants learnt to conduct analyses using open-source software and how to critically examine and present insights that can be used to drive organizational change. Various topics related to HR Analytics were covered and a details discussion happened on the relevant topics. The topics included an introduction to HR Metrics/ and HR Analytics to begin with, Predictive Analytics, HR Audit and Accounting , HR Scorecard, Visual Analytics in HR using Excel and Tableau, HR Organisational Network Analysis, Intuitive v/s Analytical Decision Making and Practical Application of HR Analytics. A total of 30 plus participants were part of this workshop. The participants were from various backgrounds like corporate, academics and students community as well. It was a great learning session for one and all and more such events were demanded by the participants.

JIMS, Kalkaji Entrepreneurship Cell organized a Workshop on "Identifying Problems Worth Solving" on 17th October, 2020 through Google Meet. The session was taken by Mr. Naresh Priyadarshi, CEO, IIITD Innovation and Incubation Center. who discussed five phases of Design Thinking—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. The students were introduced to the concepts of digital prototyping and how to aptly develop a digital mindset. It was an interactive and stimulating discussion.

Workshop on “Prevention of Sexual Harassment : Overcoming Fear of Sexual Harassment" on 10th Oct 2019

NSS Unit of JIMS KALKAJI in collaboration with Green Tech Safari & Mission Fight Back organized a workshop on the theme “Prevention of Sexual Harassment: Overcoming Fear of Sexual Harassment” on 10th Oct 2019. Dr Chhavi from Green Safari apprised the students about what leads to sexual harassment, means of prevention and the laws related to it. Self defence techniques were very well demonstrated by Lt. Col. Rohit Mishra along with his team members from Mission Fight Back. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness about the rights of women and to speak and fight for these rights.

The JIMS-ANDC Business Incubator conducted the fourth of the series of workshops on “Design Thinking & Lithe Canvas” on 9th September, 2019. Mr Abhshek Patwa and Mr Aditya Misra from Instart-Incubation along with Mr. Shadab Mobin, CEO, Instart Incubator and Ms Sanjeela Mathur, Faculty-in charge of Incubator presided over the workshop. The workshop, in continuation with the design thinking process was a combination of case studies and hands-on activities which brought the process of planning and execution of ideas to the next level. This entire exercise was done through a ‘Lithe Canvas’ which aims to propose a business model by undertaking the design thinking process.

The JIMS-ANDC Business Incubator conducted the third of the series of workshops on “Design Thinking & Lithe Canvas” on 27th August, 2019. Mr Abhshek Patwa and Mr Aditya Misra from Instart-Incubation along with Mr. Shadab Mobin, CEO, Instart Incubator and Ms Sanjeela Mathur, Faculty-in charge of Incubator presided over the workshop. The workshop, in continuation with the design thinking process reiterated the key element of doing a Start-Up by understanding the ‘Pain’ / Gain challenge and helped the participants to build a process of redefining the problem, creating new solutions, seeking innovations through it and finally Prototyping the solution in the cost-effective manner. This entire exercise was done through a ‘Lithe Canvas’ which aims to propose a business model by undertake g the design thinking process.

The JIMS-ANDC Business Incubator conducted the second of the series of workshops on “The Disruption Challenge” on 21st August, 2019. Mr Abhshek Patwa and Mr Aditya Misra from Instart-Incubation along with Mr. Shadab Mobin, CEO, Instart Incubator and Ms Sanjeela Mathur, Faculty-in charge of Incubator presided over the workshop. The workshop, in continuation, after setting the ball rolling in the previous session, laid the roadmap for students to approach doing a start-up through a meaningful, well drawn design. They stressed on the Design thinking as a process by which they can approach problem solving. The workshop incorporated analytical, synthetic, divergent and convergent thinking methods through various activities to create a wide number of potential solutions and then narrow these down to a “best fit” solution.

The Workshop opened with busting the myths associated with doing a Start-up amongst students and helped define the clarity for reasons why start-up should be done in this era of disruption where the challenge is designed to build meaningful hyper-growth start-ups. The workshop witnessed great enthusiasm and brain storming activities which has helped students to set new benchmarks for themselves in the journey of becoming entrepreneurs.

Ladies Circle India, a non-political and non-sectarian Organization conducted a workshop on “Hair for Hope: Donate Hair for Cancer Patients” on 26th July 2019 in JIMS Kalkaji campus. The motive was to create awareness among the people to donate hair to cancer patients, which will bring hopes to the lives of cancer patients.

Workshop on “Campus to Corporate on 12th & 13th July 2019

A two-day workshop on “Campus to Corporate” was organized for PGDM & PGDM (IB) batch 2018-2020 on 12th & 13th July 2019 in JIMS Kalkaji Campus. Ms. Megha Mittal, Founder Differentia Consultants had discussed insights on how to prepare for an interview and how to answer most appropriately the common questions asked during interview. Mr Sujoy Choudhury, Sr. Customer Relationship Manager – Asia, Microsoft Limited took a session on Corporate Expectations. Students were also shared knowledge on personal grooming, etiquette, body language, stress Management, time management and business communication by JIMS, Kalkaji faculty members.

Workshop on "Meditation and Life Style” on 1st May 2019

A Workshop on "Meditation and Life Style” was held in JIMS Kalkaji on 1st May 2019 by Ms. Monica Singhal, a renowned expert in Karmic Rejuvenation. She talked about its relevance in life and demonstrated this scientific approach of meditation and magical path to positivity. Faculty members from all JIMS Campuses actively participated in the session.

Workshop on “Corporate expectation from Management Students” on 21st July 2018

A workshop on “The Expectations of Corporate from the Management Students” was conducted by Mr. Abhay Kr. Saini, Sr. General Manager, HR, Kent RO on 21st July 2018. He emphasized on the use of technology in today’s world and also on the importance of reinventing oneself in order to increase competency level. Students were exposed to a simulated corporate environment, wherein they interacted and rediscovered themselves.

Workshop on “Decoding Interviews: The Secret to Going Home with A Job That You Want!”

A workshop on the topic: ‘Decoding Interviews: The Secret to Going Home with A Job That You Want’ was organized for PGDM and PGDM (IB) students batch (2016-2018) by Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji on Monday, 23rd January 2017. Mr. Vipul Rawat from UGEN, an Employability Skills Academy was the Guest Speaker for the workshop. He discussed crucial aspects of personalities such as strengths and weaknesses and subsequently opportunities and threats based upon one’s relevance for industries that one may want to work with.

Alumni Meet "NOSTALGIA 2023"

The JIMS Alumni Meet "NOSTALGIA 2023" was held on December 16, 2023 at Panchsheel Club, Delhi. The alumni meet is to reconnect with the Alumni and celebrate their success and various achievements. Alumni are an integral part of JIMS Family and to strengthen and nurture this relationship continued association is required. Since the inception of the MBA program and later PGDM program, alumni were invited across the batches from 2002-04 up to the latest pass out batch of 2021-23. The annual alumni event was a great platform to connect with all the Alumni.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together alumni across various graduating years and industries. The alumni shared anecdotes and fond memories with the audience which engaged everyone present.The key highlights of the event focused on attendee engagement, key activities, and future plans.
This was followed by an award ceremony in which Alumni achievers were felicitated and given mementos by the honorable Director JIMS, Kalkaji. Following awards were given on the occasion:

Post Budget Panel Discussion- Union Budget 2023- A Hit or Miss? on Wednesday, 1st March 2023

Institution’s Innovation Cell(IIC), JIMS organized a “Post Budget Panel Discussion- Union Budget – A Hit or a Miss?” on 1st March, 2023 to discuss its key features, latest developments and its impacts on the current national and international scenario. The panel consisted of Dr. S. P. Sharma, Chief Economist, Deputy Secretary General PHDCCI and Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS Kalkaji. Students from PGDM & PGDM (IB) 2022-2024 Batch attended the session. The panel discussion resulted to be a success, providing student’s clarity about the union budget and its impacts on the Indian economy and helped students in aligning their vision with that of India.

Grand Alumni Meet 2022

Celebrating the 25 years of Academic Excellence, a Grand Alumni Meet was organized on 26th November 2022 by the Alumni club of JIMS Kalkaji at Margosa Lawn, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Alumni across the batches from 2002-04 to the latest batch of 2020-22 attended the meet. There were lot of fun games which acted as an ice breaker and involved one and all. The alumni shared anecdotes and fond memories with the audience which engaged everyone present. This was followed by an award ceremony in which Alumni achievers were felicitated and given mementos by honorable Chairman sir, Dr. Amit Gupta and Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS, Kalkaji.

JIMS-Industry Roundtable on 20th August, 2022

JIMS, Kalkaji iorganized JIMS-Industry Rountable on the theme "The Emerging World of Work-Reshaping & Developing Future Ready Employability Skills" on 20th August, 2022. The eminent panelists included Ms. Anjalie Chaudhary, Head Organization Effectiveness, Tech Mahindra, Mr. Shirish Agarwal, Head Marketing Communication & Brand, Panasonic, Mr. Agniwesh Thakur, VP, Human Capital Management, Accenture, Mr. Pradyumna Pandey, CHRO, Mother Dairy and Mr. Raj Gupta, General Manager, HR, TCS. Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji welcomed the poanelists who discussed that the world of work is changing at a drastic pace which we have yet to fully grasp, let alone respond to it. Over the past several decades, the workplace has been transformed by globalization, changing power dynamics and new emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics and big data. These changes are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the jobs by shifting between sectors, transforming the kinds of tasks that are done in existing jobs and changing how people connect to work. Dr. Amit Gupta, Honourable Chairman, JIMS concluded the session by talking about the 3 important D's of the corporate world that is Digital Marketing, Data Analytics and Design thinking. Overall the discussions were very enriching and students gained a lot of insights and knowledge.

JIMS, Kalkaji organized Post Budget Panel Discussion on 19th February, 2022 on the theme "Union Budget 2022: Hit or Miss?" in online mode under the leadership of Honourable Amit Gupta (Chairman), Dr.Satish Seth (Advisor), and Prof. Ashok Sharma (Director).Dr.Seth extended warm welcome to the invited panellists from Industry and Academiawherein he presented the summarised version of Union Budget 2022 and addressed four pillars of budget namely inclusive development, Financing of Investments, GatiShakti, and Productivity enhancement. The panellists were Dr Jaydeep Mukherjee, Associate Professor, IIFT, Dr. S. K. Gupta from Industry, Mr. Nikhil Goenka and Mr. Rohan Krishan from PWC, and Mr. Pranav Anand from Credence (Collaborative partner of JIMS).
Dr. Mukherjee mentioned macroeconomic implications in a lucid way.Mr.Goenka addressed key insights of budget from direct taxation perspectives. Mr Rohan spoke about indirect taxation and key amendments done during union budget 2022. Dr Gupta deliberated on social capital and sustainability aspect of budget. Mr.Anand discussed on microscopic view of budget 2022 and on up skilling and reskilling of work force.Students raised queried related to crypto currency, unchanged tax slabs, reasons for charging 30 percent duty on VDA. Panellist addressed to individual queries of students. Dr Ashok Sharma (Director) gave vote of thanks.

Delegates across the world that is from Africa, Australia, Japan, etc. joined the conference and made it an enriching experience for the students.

'Young Corporate Meet' on 29th December, 2021

Alumni Club of JIMS Kalkaji hosted under its 'Young Corporate Meet' Mr. Abhinaw Raj, Alumnus 2016-2018 batch of PGDM on December 29, 2021. Ms. Jyoti Kukreja, Assistant Professor, JIMS hosted the online chat show on Live mode at various Social Media Platforms-Facebook and Youtube. Dr. Anju Shukla, Assistant Professor, JIMS and Alumni Club Coordinator convened the session. Recalling the fondest memories of the campus and the entire PGDM journey and handling various recruitment concerns and other economic challenges, the session was most appreciated for being comprehensive and interactive. E-Post Budget Panel Discussion on Friday, 19th February 2021

JIMS, Kalkaji organized Post Budget Panel Discussion on "Union Budget 2021: A hit or a miss?" virtually on 19th February 2021. The program aimed was organized to get insights into the intricacies of Union Budget 2021 and discuss the dimensions pertaining to it. The resource persons for the Panel Discussion were the renowned names from the field of taxation and economics like CA Dr. Girish Ahuja, Former Associate Professor of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Sr. Faculty member Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Faculty member Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Committee of ICAI, Ms. Ritika Tulsyan, Manager, Tax, PwC, Mr. Lohit Vatsa, Consultant, Tax & Regulatory Services, Vatsa & Associates and Mr. Akhil Swami, Expert Economic Affairs. The panel members with experience in the genre of the same facilitated the session by emphasizing on the opportunities at hand-"An Investment in Knowledge always pays the best interest".

Annual Alumni Coordinators Convention on 9th January, 2021

JIMS Kalkaji hosted an Annual Alumni Coordinators Convention on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, JIMS presided over along with Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji. E-Week 2020

JIMS, Kalkaji Entrepreneurship Cell organized Entrepreneurship Week from 20th – 22nd Oct, 2020. Various events like Case Phalic, Stock Mock, Quizingo, Market King, Sell Me, Documentary, Business Plan and Webinar on Start up talk were organized in which students participated with great zeal and showcased their talents.

Counselling session for second-year students towards the choice of electives on 15th July 2020

JIMS Kalkaji organized an Online Counseling Session for PGDM & PGDM (IB) 2019-21 batch on 15th July 2020. The session was organized with an aim to ensure that students are able to identify the right career path wherein faculties from respective specialization apprised students by giving a brief of all the functional areas. Faculty members of various domain advised students on making right career choice with respect to specializations in the streams of Finance, HR, Marketing, HR, Business Analytics and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Ashok Sharma, Director JIMS, Kalkaji delivered special address to the students which was then followed by Question and Answer session.

Alumni Meet 2020

JIMS Kalkaji organized Online Alumni Meet 2020 for all its Alumni batches from 27th June, 2020 till July, 2020 on each Saturday. Alumni interaction was very fruitful as they shared their most memorable moments of college days, failure stories and learnings derived from it and old memories with their batch mates and Faculty members.

The Post Budget Panel Discussion 2020-21 was organized by “Money Tech” the Finance Club of JIMS, Kalkaji on 6th February 2020. The delegates for the Post - Budget Panel Discussion-2020 were Dr. S.P. Sharma, Chief Economist, PHDCCI, Mr. Yogesh Gauba, President, Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Ltd., Mr. Harkesh Tara, Vice Chairman, Institute of Cost Accountants of India (Northern India Regional Council) and Mr. Lohit PratapVatsa, Chartered Accountants, Vatsa & Co. Director General, JIMS Kalkaji Dr. (Cdr.) Satish Seth welcomed the panelists and expressed his views regarding increase in expenditure for education sector. Dr. Sharma explained students how through allocation of 2.10 lakh crore rupees for agriculture sector and disinvestments proceeds from LIC, PSU and other sectors, the Government will fill the gap of fiscal deficit. Mr. Yogesh Gauba, explained that the core theme of the budget is to lead to ease of living through aspirational India, caring society and economic investments. Mr. HarkeshTara explained the significance of cost in export competitiveness in the world market and hence emphasized on cost reduction measures to make our products globally accepted and competitive. Mr. Lohit PratapVatsa, explained about PERSONAL TAXES, the new tax slabs, impact of DDT removal and who would prefer it. Director Prof Dr. J. K Batra expressed his views regarding infrastructural reforms and tax reforms introduced in the budget 2020, HOD (IB) Prof Dr. Preeti Singh expressed thanks to panel members for sharing their expertise with JIMS Kalkaji students and Professor Dr. NeelamTandon (Finance Club Coordinator) shared the hard work and dedication of “Money Tech”, Finance Club students for organizing the Post budget panel discussion.

“Money Tech”: Finance Club Initiative: Pre Budget Panel Discussion 2020

Pre-budget panel discussion 2020 was organized by JIMS Kalkaji’s “Money Tech: Finance Club”. The event was started by PGDM and PGDM (IB) students in which they discussed the importance of a budget for the economy. The event was basically structured in the form of competition in which four teams participated and giving their take on different sectors of the economy which was taken into consideration of last year's budget i.e, 2019-2020. The teams were judged on four parameters i.e, Content, Co-ordination, Query Handling and Presentation. The teams discussed the developments on last year's projects and what we as a citizen can expect from the budget 2020-21. Prof .Dr. J K Batra (Director JIMS Kalkaji) appreciated the hard work, passion, dedication and consistent performance of Finance Club members.

JIMS Annual Alumni Meet 2019

Any Institutions' Alumni are key to its growth. JIMS feel proud of our students who proved to be grown up and achievers in their life. Alumni Meet is one such occasion where our Alumnus come back to their Alma Mater and relive their memories with their counterparts, seniors, juniors and of course their Institute as a whole and share their experiences with ours. Like every year this year too we had our Alumni meet on 6th Dec 2019 at Panchsheel club, New Delhi. Alumni from all the courses came and had fun meeting their friends and Faculty.

Prateek Srivastava of PGDM ( IB) 2011 -13 batch and Pallavi Sharma of PGDM 2008-10 batch were acknowledged as the Best Alumnus for 2019. Vivek Tiwari of PGDM 2014-16 batch was awarded as the best Alumni Entrepreneur for 2019. Overall it was a great reunion of memories and experience.

The finance club; “MONEY TECH”, of JIMS Kalkaji believes in working towards educating and promoting the crucial need for everyone to know about their finances. Their aim to discuss and keep everyone updated regarding everything that is happening in the finance world. On 18th July 2019 MONEYTECH members had conducted, Post Budget Panel Discussion of Union Budget 2019 for students of PGDM and PGDM (IB) 2019-21 at JIMS Auditorium. The dignitaries, Professor Sengupta, Director General Cdr. Dr Satish Seth, director Dr. J.K Batra, HOD PGDM (IB) Dr. Preeti Singh, Professor, and coordinator of MONEYTECH, Dr. Neelam Tandon congratulated MONEYTECH members for their stupendous performance. The major topics covered during the Post Budget Panel Discussion by MONEYTECH members were Blue Economy and Real Estate Budget Proposal Reforms, Public-private partnership (PPP) a funding model for a public infrastructure project and change in the corporate tax rate as well as deductions available to an individual taxpayer, women empowerment and rural inclusive growth as measures of long term sustainable growth of the Indian economy. It helped students to know the nitty-gritty of the budget 2019 proposal and its significance on the Indian economy.

Visit of Nyenrode New Business School (NNBS), Netherlends Team on 28th Nov, 2017

JIMS in collaboration with Nyenrode New Business School (NNBS), Netherlends visited the campus on 28th November 2017. Professor Mattys and Ms. Winikie, Program Incharge, NNBS accompanied the students. The students and dignitaries were extended a heartfelt traditional welcome. The NNBS students along with JIMS students exchanged views on business environment in India and Netherlands.

Post Budget Panel Discussion 2017

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji hosted a panel discussion on Union Budget 2017-18 at its premises on 8th February 2017 after the budget was announced by the Finance Minister on 1st February 2017. The panel discussion was followed by a Q&A round which saw the enthusiastic Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji students engaging in a discussion with the eminent panel.

National Seminar on CSR and Sustainability

A National HR Seminar on the contemporary theme: ‘Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility and Sustainability’ was organized by JIMS, Kalkaji in collaboration with ISTD on September 16, 2017. Mr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network India, was the Guest of Honor at the inaugural Session.

National Finance Seminar

A National Finance Seminar on ‘Technological Disruptive Innovations: A New Financial Landscape in India” was organized on March 24, 2018. Cryptocurrency, increasing use of blockchain, incorporation of chatbots, use of humanoids by banks and the growth of crowd funding made the topic necessary for discussion.

National Marketing Seminar

A Marketing seminar on “Relationship Marketing- Opportunities and Challenges” was organized on February 3, 2018. The Chief Guest at the seminar was Mr. Anurag Sharma, General Manager – Clarks India and Guest of Honour Ms. Bhavna Kapur, Director, Marketing Communication, HCL. Several significant concepts such as design thinking and customer pyramid were discussed

Post Budget Panel Discussion 2018

A Panel Discussion on Union Budget 2018-19 was organized on February 7, 2018. The panel discussion was followed by a Q&A round which created awareness and gave students an insight on income tax matters and factors affecting economic growth of the country.

A workshop on the topic: ‘Placement Interviews" was organized for Post Graduate students batch (2016-2018) on Saturday, 2ndDecember 2017 by Mr. Rupak Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Eveueme. He discussed the 5 Mantras about what interviewers look for like Collaboration Vs Competitive Mindset, Asking intelligent questions Vs simply directing, presentation skills to energize people around oneself, People skills Vs technical skills and lastly the Art of detailing. Also, there was a simulated live interview for students.
