INDIA INTERNET CONFERENCE 2017

FICCI and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India organized India Internet Conference on 5th & 6th April, 2017 at FICCI, New Delhi on the theme “Digital India 4 Sustainable Development”. JIMS Kalkaji was associated as an Academic Partner for this prestigious conference. The Inaugural session was moderated by Mr. Virat Bhatia, Chairman, ICT & Digital Economy Committee, FICCI .A number of top corporate professionals along with members from Ministry, Government of India and Parliament made the sessions quite interesting discussing on topics as Digital India 4 UN SDGs.

XIIth International Conference on 4th Feb, 2017

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS), Kalkaji, New Delhi in partnership with the PHD Chamber and Konard Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), Germany organized its XIIth International Conference on 04th February 2017 on the topic “Leveraging Big Data Analytics for Global Excellence”. The Conference was designed to cover four technical sessions.on the following-“Deploying and Harnessing Big Data and Analytics for Business Excellence”. “Driving Business Excellence in Healthcare, Retail, People and IT Analytics”. “Leveraging Big Data for Building Prowess in Leadership, Performance and Talent Management” “Research Paper Presentation” competition.

Industry Academia Conference 2017

CINQUE and EPSI organized Industry Academia Conference on 19th January, 2017 at India International Centre, New Delhi on the theme “Indian Management Education-Towards Next Horizon (Collaborating Strategy between Industry and Academia)”. The Conference was jointly sponsored by JIMS Kalkaji.

JIMS Kalkaji organized National Seminar on “Industry 4.0: Emerging Opportunities and Challenges in India’s Financial Sector" on March 30th, 2019. Dr. Arun Kumar, Malcolm S. Adiseshiah Chair Professor, Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi and Mr. Mohd. Abdul Mateen, Senior VP, Finance and Accounting, British Paints were the Guests of Honour for the Inaugural Session. Marketing Seminar on 9th March 2019

JIMS Kalkaji organized National Seminar on “Experiential Marketing in India- Emerging Trends and Practices” on March 9th, 2019. Mr. Sujoy Choudhury, Microsoft was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session . Many interesting sessions were taken by Mr. Ranjal Paul, Management Consultant and Trainer on the topic “Brand Building through Experiential Marketing”, Mr. Anuag Sharma, General Manager, Clarks India on the topic “Experiential Marketing- A Paradigm of 21st Century” and Mr. Sumeet Pahwa, Brand, Digital & Media, Tata Docomo.

Entrepreneurship and Marketing Festival-2019

JIMS Annual Entrepreneurship and Marketing Festival “E-Week & Markathon 2019” was held from 6th to 8th March 2019 at JIMS Kalkaji, New Delhi.

National Seminar on “Empowering Women for Sustainable Development” on 1st December, 2018

A national seminar was organized in collaboration with UN Global Compact Network India. Ms Anjali Singh Senior Vice President from Genpact delivered the keynote address raising thought provoking issues . Mr. Kamal Singh, Executive Director, UNGCNI was the Guest of Honour. There were two panel discussions on women’s safety, education, business, judicial system and policies and initiatives taken by government.

JIMS Kalkaji organized National Seminar on "Skilling Indian Entrepreneurs-Challenges and Opportunities in an Emerging Economy" on 8th September, 2018.. The program was graced by the presence of Guest of Honours, Ms. Sampa Bannerjee, Executive Director, WASME and Mr. Mathew Varghese, GM(HRD), Indian Oil Corporation. Other speakers were Mr. Shadab Mobin, CEO-Business Incubator, ANDC in Start Foundation who spoke on “Scope and Challenges for Entrepreneurship in India”, Mr. Rajiv Khosla, Managing Director, TrioBrane India who spoke on “Essential Entrepreneurial Skills and the Role of Private Sector” and Ms. Guneesha Kohli, Division Head, Fashion Malika International who spoke on “Govt. A Workshop on "Meditation and Life Style” was held in JIMS Kalkaji on 1st May 2019 by Ms. Monica Singhal, a renowned expert in Karmic Rejuvenation. She talked about its relevance in life and demonstrated this scientific approach of meditation and magical path to positivity. Faculty members from all JIMS Campuses actively participated in the session.

JIMS Kalkaji in its pursuit and support of Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH Act, 2013) held an impressive and interactive workshop by Team ‘Nahi Means No' on January 15, 2019 in its campus auditorium. Ms. Sunanda Lahiri Kashyap, Founder, Nahi means No, Mr. Rajat Nag, Chief Mentor, Nahi means No and other team members, Ms. Sangeeta Bose Tagore Anand, Ms. Afsheen Kanwar and Ms. Aanchal Sethi took special interactive sessions and demonstrations.

Workshop on “Corporate expectation from Management Students” on 21st July 2018

A workshop on “The Expectations of Corporate from the Management Students” was conducted by Mr. Abhay Kr. Saini, Sr. General Manager, HR, Kent RO on 21st July 2018. He emphasized on the use of technology in today’s world and also on the importance of reinventing oneself in order to increase competency level. Students were exposed to a simulated corporate environment, wherein they interacted and rediscovered themselves.

A two-day workshop sketching from Campus to Corporate was organized for PGDM & PGDM (IB) batch 2017-2019 on July 13-14 2018 in the JIMS Kalkaji Campus. Here Ms. Megha Mittal, Founder Differentia Consultants had discussed insights on how to prepare for an interview and how to answer most appropriately the common questions asked during interview.

Workshop on “Decoding Interviews: The Secret to Going Home with A Job That You Want!”

A workshop on the topic: ‘Decoding Interviews: The Secret to Going Home with A Job That You Want’ was organized for PGDM and PGDM (IB) students batch (2016-2018) by Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji on Monday, 23rd January 2017. Mr. Vipul Rawat from UGEN, an Employability Skills Academy was the Guest Speaker for the workshop. He discussed crucial aspects of personalities such as strengths and weaknesses and subsequently opportunities and threats based upon one’s relevance for industries that one may want to work with.

JIMS Annual Alumni Meet 2018

The JIMS Annual Alumni Meet was held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at PSOI, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Atisha Juneja, Senior Manager, Capital Market Team, Jones Lang Lasalle of PGDM 2009-11 and Sandeep Mittal, Manager, HSBC of PGDM(IB) 2011-13 were awarded as “Distinguished Alumni 2018”. Neha Sharma of PGDM (IB) 2016-18 Batch won Best Dressed Award. The Alumni Meet ended with a rocking DJ and sumptuous dinner.

Visit of Nyenrode New Business School (NNBS), Netherlends Team on 28th Nov, 2017

JIMS in collaboration with Nyenrode New Business School (NNBS), Netherlends visited the campus on 28th November 2017. Professor Mattys and Ms. Winikie, Program Incharge, NNBS accompanied the students. The students and dignitaries were extended a heartfelt traditional welcome. The NNBS students along with JIMS students exchanged views on business environment in India and Netherlands.

Post Budget Panel Discussion 2017

Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji hosted a panel discussion on Union Budget 2017-18 at its premises on 8th February 2017 after the budget was announced by the Finance Minister on 1st February 2017. The panel discussion was followed by a Q&A round which saw the enthusiastic Jagannath International Management School (JIMS) Kalkaji students engaging in a discussion with the eminent panel.

National Seminar on CSR and Sustainability

A National HR Seminar on the contemporary theme: ‘Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility and Sustainability’ was organized by JIMS, Kalkaji in collaboration with ISTD on September 16, 2017. A National Finance Seminar on ‘Technological Disruptive Innovations: A New Financial Landscape in India” was organized on March 24, 2018. Cryptocurrency, increasing use of blockchain, incorporation of chatbots, use of humanoids by banks and the growth of crowd funding made the topic necessary for discussion.

A Marketing seminar on “Relationship Marketing- Opportunities and Challenges” was organized on February 3, 2018. The Chief Guest at the seminar was Mr. Anurag Sharma, General Manager – Clarks India and Guest of Honour Ms. Bhavna Kapur, Director, Marketing Communication, HCL. Several significant concepts such as design thinking and customer pyramid were discussed

Post Budget Panel Discussion 2018

A Panel Discussion on Union Budget 2018-19 was organized on February 7, 2018. The panel discussion was followed by a Q&A round which created awareness and gave students an insight on income tax matters and factors affecting economic growth of the country.

A workshop on the topic: ‘Placement Interviews" was organized for Post Graduate students batch (2016-2018) on Saturday, 2ndDecember 2017 by Mr. Rupak Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Eveueme. He discussed the 5 Mantras about what interviewers look for like Collaboration Vs Competitive Mindset, Asking intelligent questions Vs simply directing, presentation skills to energize people around oneself, People skills Vs technical skills and lastly the Art of detailing. Also, there was a simulated live interview for students.
