Conference 2026 on “Geopolitics: Global Implications for Business Sustainability, Technology and
Governance” on 30–31 January 2026, with the inaugural session at India International Centre, New
Delhi, followed by paper presentations at the JIMS campus. The conference opened with a lamp-lighting
ceremony, a welcome by Dr. Saniya Chawla, and the felicitation of dignitaries by Prof. (Dr.) Neelam Tandon
and Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Sharma. Dr. Neelam Tandon highlighted geopolitics’ role in shaping India’s global
positioning and the quality of shortlisted research papers. Dr. Amit Gupta emphasized geopolitics’ growing
impact on business strategy and governance. Key addresses were delivered by Mr. Ashish Jain on trade realignments
and the India–EU FTA, Dr. Lalit Singhal on India’s economic evolution, and Chief Guest Dr. Anil Wadhwa on geopolitics’
influence on supply chains, climate resilience, and governance. The panel, moderated by Dr. Lalit Singhal, featured
Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, Mr. Amitabh Ranjan, Mr. Manoranjan Sharma, and Prof. Faisal Ahmed, who discussed global power
shifts, sustainability, energy and digital sovereignty, climate geopolitics, and India’s strategic role. The session
concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anupama Sharma, followed by international panels and research presentations on Day Two.

The JIMS-DCCU 6th Roundtable, held at JIMS Kalkaji, focused on the evolving theme of "AI and
Ethics: The Changing Landscapes." The event held on 21st January, 2026, initiated by Ms. Shilpi Yadav, Assistant Professor
at JIMS, brought together esteemed speakers such as Dr. Anuj Verma, Director of JIMS Kalkaji,
and Dr. Marja-Liisa Tenhunen, Advisor for the President on International Affairs at Dimitrie
Cantemir Christian University (DCCU). The roundtable featured thought-provoking sessions on
the role of AI in business, education, and academic integrity, with insights from experts
like Dr. Neelam Tandon, Prof. Radu Danciu, and Dr. Navneet Gera. The discussions centered
on ethical AI integration in business practices, the role of AI in higher education, and
the importance of maintaining academic integrity amidst AI-driven learning environments.
Dr. Anuj Verma emphasized AI as a complement to human intelligence, while Dr. Marja-Liisa
Tenhunen highlighted the importance of responsible AI use for global challenges. The event
concluded with a vote of thanks, recognizing the successful collaboration between JIMS and
DCCU, and underscoring the importance of continuing discussions on AI's impact in future roundtables.
JIMS Kalkaji organized a panel discussion on "Reimagining Work–Wellness Balance: Pathways to Holistic Living" on 15th December 2025, aimed at raising awareness among students about maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The event was welcomed by Dr. Anuj Verma and Dr. Amit Gupta, who presented green initiatives to the guests, including Chief Guest Ms. Harpreet Suri and Guests of Honour Ms. Tanvee Tutlani, Dr. Nupur Jain, and Ms. Saru Mukherjee.
The panel covered several aspects of wellness, starting with Dr. Amit Gupta emphasizing the importance of time management, sleep, and physical activity. Ms. Harpreet Suri discussed the significance of quality sleep, digital fasting, and mindful content consumption. Ms. Tanvee Tutlani spoke about the importance of sleep, hydration, and nutrition, along with the benefits of supplements. Dr. Nupur Jain highlighted the importance of circadian rhythm, morning sunlight, and basic skincare routines, while Ms. Saru Mukherjee shared her fitness journey, promoting daily physical activity and disciplined eating habits.
The discussion also touched on digital detox, social media, and the importance of positive thinking, with Ms. Harpreet Suri discussing manifestation and self-belief. The event concluded with Dr. Amit Gupta presenting mementos to the guests, leaving students with valuable insights for balancing their professional and personal well-being.
JIMS Kalkaji, in collaboration with FIEO, organized the National Seminar on “India @2047: Building Global Competitiveness through Innovation and Trade Integration” on 21st November 2025. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ajay Sahai (DG & CEO, FIEO) and attended by Dr. Rohit Mehtani (Head–MDP & Centre for International Negotiation, IIFT), Captain Sarabjit Butalia, Dr. Anuj Verma (Director), HODs, faculty, and PGDM/PGDM-IB students. The guests were felicitated by Dr. Anuj Verma, Dr. Navneet Gera, and Dr. Anupama Verma.
Dr. Navneet Gera introduced the theme, emphasizing India’s innovation potential, export opportunities, and reducing reliance on imports, especially from China. Dr. Sahai’s keynote highlighted India’s projected $35 trillion GDP by 2047 and the need to tap into the $210 billion unrealized export potential. Key issues discussed included disruptive technologies, job creation, and women’s participation in Viksit Bharat.
The technical session featured a panel of esteemed speakers: Mr. Rajesh Setia (Founder, CEO & Director, Testpan India Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Vanish Ahluwalia (Group Vice President, Seahorse Ship Agencies Pvt. Ltd.), and Lt. Col. Shishir Hirdekar (Retd.), Strategic Project and Supply Chain Leader. They discussed the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Real Intelligence (RI), as well as the significance of global trade integration and exports in economic growth.

JIMS Kalkaji, in collaboration with FIEO, organised a national seminar on "India and the Global Value Chain: Impacts of Trade Agreements on Manufacturing and Growth" on March 21, 2025. The event featured several eminent speakers who shared their insights and expertise on the subject. The seminar commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS Kalkaji, followed by a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment. The inaugural session was graced by esteemed dignitaries: Chief Guest: Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General, FIEO, who addressed various trade policies and emphasised the importance of export growth and upskilling, stating that “strategic trade agreements, coupled with a skilled workforce, are essential for strengthening India's presence in the global market.” & Guest of Honour: Lt. Gen. PJS Pannu (Retd.), Former Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Operations), who highlighted that “India was once seen as a geopolitical entity, but today, it holds significant global value across all domains, playing a crucial role in shaping international trade and economic policies.”
The session was briefed by Dr. Navneet Gera, HOD, PGDM (IB), who emphasised the importance of industry-academia collaboration in understanding the evolving landscape of global trade and its implications for India’s economic growth. The seminar featured insightful discussions by key speakers: Dr. Ram Singh, Professor at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), who shared his expertise on trade agreements and their impact on India's manufacturing sector, and Mr. Ananda Mukherjee, Assistant General Manager (AGM)-Exports at Ken Lifestyles, who provided valuable industry perspectives on export dynamics and global trade opportunities.

The Union Budget Analysis 2025 session, coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Sharma and Finance Club members, featured expert insights from Mr. Nikhil Goenka (Associate Partner, PWC Co. LLP) on direct taxation reforms and Mr. Rohan Krishan (Director, Indirect Tax, PWC Co. LLP) on GST amendments. Discussions covered key updates, including an increased tax exemption limit to ₹12 lakh, changes in tax slabs, rebate provisions under Section 87A, and extended tax holidays for start-ups. The GST session focused on simplifying tax compliance, enhancing transparency, and reducing litigation. Broader tax policy amendments emphasized trade facilitation, tax certainty, and self-assessment for ITR filings. The event provided a comprehensive understanding of the Union Budget’s impact on businesses and the economy.
FinFusion, organized by the Finance Club of Jagannath International Management School was a dynamic and engaging event designed to enhance students' financial knowledge and critical thinking. The event, coordinated by Khushi Chaudhary and Khushi Nagar, consisted of three rounds: a quiz on financial concepts, a debate on contemporary topics like cryptocurrency and green finance, and an extempore round focusing on pressing financial issues. The event concluded with Harshit Sharma and Vertul emerging as winners, followed by Saksham and Utkarsh as the first runners-up. The event successfully fostered analytical thinking, improved public speaking, and provided students with a deeper understanding of the evolving financial landscape.
“Money Tech” The finance club of JIMS Kalkaji under its segment the FinXpress, the finance talk show, at JIMS Kalkaji campus organised Union Budget Analysis 2024. The objective of this event was to apprise first year students of PGDM & PGDM(IB) about the amendments in Budget 2024 and analyse Budget 2024. The guest speakers CA.Rohan Krishan, Director Indirect Tax Price Water House CoLLP and CA.Nikhil Goenka, Associate Partner at Price Water House CoLLP. The deliberations by guest speakers emphasized on maintaining stability, simplicity, and certainty in the tax framework.
The "Vivad se Vishwas" scheme of government was highlighted by the expert speakers as a crucial step towards reducing litigation in resolving tax disputes. Changes in the tax regime for foreign companies are reduced to the rate of 30%. The discussion also considered whether individuals should continue with the old tax regime, with a consensus favoring its maintenance. The proposed 12.5% capital gains tax rate sparked several questions about its potential impact. It was noted that there would be no changes in the taxation of international properties, although an increase in the tax rate for certain items was discussed. CA Rohan Krishan provided insights into indirect taxes, including customs duties and GST, with a focus on exemptions and varying rates, particularly for equity transactions, which are proposed to be taxed at 28%. The discussion also covered differences in customs duties, specifically within the "Blue Customs" category, and their implications for GST. The event concluded with a recommendation for certain companies to consider filing their Income Tax Returns (ITR) in light of the recent tax changes to ensure compliance and leverage potential benefits.
The session was followed by a Q&A round wherein Mr. Rohan Krishan and Mr.Nikhil Goenka were asked few questions by the students which were satisfactorily answered by the experts. The questions asked by students made this session very interactive and informative. This was followed by presentation of Green Initiative and momento to the guest by Pof. Dr. Anupama Sharma, HOD of PGDM Course faculty coordinator of MoneyTech.
On July 23rd, Honorable Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the Union Budget 2024-25. Students and faculty from JIMS Kalkaji, along with other institutions, joined dignitaries at PHDCCI, New Delhi, to watch and discuss the budget. Key speakers, including Dr. S. P. Sharma, Mr. Hemant Jain, and Mr. Chaitanya Hari Singhania, shared their expectations, emphasizing economic resilience, tax reforms, and green energy initiatives. Prof. Dr. N. R. Bhanumurthy suggested stable direct taxes and streamlined indirect taxes. The budget, centered on four pillars—Garib, Mahilayen, Yuva, and Annadata—focused on agriculture, employment, urban development, energy security, and innovation. Dignitaries praised the budget's emphasis on continuity and growth, with some skepticism about ease of business implementations. The session concluded with a Q&A, where JIMS Kalkaji student Ms. Ankita Agarwal inquired about the internship program. The 1st-Year PGDM students had a valuable experience, guided by Dr. Palak Verma, who stressed the importance of engaging with the content and networking with attendees.
JIMS Kalkaji organized a Fourth Round Table with DCCU University Bucharest, Romania on the topic "Consequences of Russia-Ukraine War: The Economic Fallout" on 23rd November, 2023.

Speakers touched on the major points, the overall economic fallout is still difficult to predict, the impact will be different for different parts of the World. It concluded well with an Open House Discussion among the panel speakers and addressed questions with a solution driven approach under the coordinatorship of Ms. Shilpi Yadav, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.

JIMS Kalkaji organized BA Seminar on the topic “AI : The Game Changer for Corporate Innovation” on 20 October 2023 from 1:40 pm – 3:40 pm at JIMS Auditorium. The speakers for the seminar were Dr. Kamna Pandey, Founder, Mypeepal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. And Mr. Sidharth Ghosh, Head Program Management, Optical Networking Business at Sterlite Technologies. The event started with the introduction of the speakers who are have great expertise in the area of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Mr. Ghosh gave introduction to AI and enlightened the audience with basic concepts of Machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL) . He shared insights into how corporates these days are upgrading in term of technology by using AI tools in the supply chain and overall management. He also explained the difference between AI, ML and DL and how recent innovations and upgradations are implemented in tech industry by quoting real life examples. Afterwards Dr. Kamini Pandey gave a basic overview on AI and how corporates are benefitted by it. She also compared AI with human minds and how corporates have been adaptive and upgrading continuously to ease out human work.The aim of both the speakers was to make young minds understand the need for AI and how corporates these days demand high end skills like data mining.The session ended with Q&A round and a vote of thanks by providing memento to both the esteemed guests.Overall the event was insightful and students expanded their knowledge in the area of Artificial Intelligence.

The speakers for the event were Dr. G.P. The inaugural session commenced with the welcome address by Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Ex-Director General and Advisor to the Chairman JIMS. He emphasized the ethical use of AI and explained how Chat GPT can become beneficial in personalized learning, case study analysis, and business planning in higher education. Mr. Sandeep Girotra explained the technological evolution in the music industry from a turntable record player to cassettes, CDs, DVDs, MP3, and pen drives, and now to Spotify. He deliberated that nothing can replace social connection but at the same time, it is essential to be agile and accept technological change. Dr Aquil Busrai emphasized maintaining the balance between technology and Human Connect. He explained how AI works silently and has changed lifestyles and reduced the operational costs of firms with the application of Predictive Attrition analysis. It is important to be well-versed with technological changes and learn to cope with the speed of change. Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS Kalkaji shared his views that human connection cannot be replaced by any technology, but we can adapt technology for the betterment of society. Technology should be used wisely but Human Touch should not be lost.
Mr. GP RAO commenced the panel discussion with an emphasis on technological integration and human development. He emphasized the significance of AI in automating processes, analyzing vast datasets, and enabling machines to make decisions, ultimately revolutionizing various industries. Mr. Neeraj's Perspective explains how AI involves the artificial creation of intelligence within machines. He suggested that during interviews, paying attention to subtle cues like eye movements and hand gestures can provide valuable insights. These non-verbal cues can offer a deeper understanding of a candidate's suitability for a role. Saurabh Rai's insights shed light on the importance of predictive and descriptive models in the field of data analysis. He highlighted the need for accurate data parameters, such as salary and the nature of work, to ensure the correctness and reliability of these models. Saurabh emphasized that conducting numerous surveys is essential for conducting sentiment analysis effectively. This involves the aggregation of words and phrases from various sources, leading to a comprehensive understanding of sentiment. Miss Archana Bhardwaj highlights the topic of grievance handling within HR and contrasts it with certain hiring practices. She raised a significant concern about the emphasis placed on physical appearance during the hiring process. Archana pointed out that in some cases, candidates may be hired or not based on their looks rather than their qualifications, which can lead to biases in recruitment. However, she also emphasized that in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), these biases are often eliminated. The hiring process in AI relies solely on an individual's talents and qualifications relevant to the position they are applying for, ignoring irrelevant factors like appearance. Mr. Manmohan Bhutani unequivocally asserted that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a game changer. AI's potential is so significant that it can be considered a transformative force in today's world. Moreover, Mr. Bhutani highlighted the power of AI in identifying inflection points in advance. Predictive capability is a crucial aspect of AI, enabling businesses and organizations to anticipate critical turning points, make informed decisions, and stay ahead of the curve. Ms. Kuljeet acknowledged the game-changing potential of technology but also emphasized that human existence remains at the core of innovation, underscoring the need to strike a balance between technological advancements and human-centric values. She explained how Indian Oil Corporation has used sentiment analysis at its retail outlets to ensure customers’ happiness. These valuable tips offer diverse perspectives on the integration of AI, ethics, technology, and human elements in our rapidly changing world. Dr. Saniya Chawla expressed her heartfelt thanks to esteemed members and all those who had made the event possible.
A National Marketing Seminar on “Sustainability in Marketing: Balancing Profit and Purpose in a Changing World” was organized on 14th April 2023, in the auditorium of JIMS Kalkaji. Host for the day was Dr. Gopika Kumar, Assistant Professor, JIMS Kalkaji. The program began with the welcome address by Dr. Anuj Verma, Director JIMS Kalkaji. Dr.Mukul Mishra, Associate Professor (Marketing & International Business) JIMS Kalkaji and the program coordinator of the seminar, gave the Introductory address highlighting the importance of “Sustainable Marketing” in the contemporary business scenario. Key note speaker for the day was Dr. D.K Batra, Professor (Marketing) & Chairperson Branding and Media relations for IMI New Delhi. The Technical session started with the address by the Guest of Honor, Mr. Ashok Jangra, Head - India Markets (Retail Sales & Trade Marketing), Logitech followed by speakers Mr. Ashwin Bhatia, Leadership Coach, Start-up Mentor, Strategy & Development Consultant and Mr. Saket Sinha, Director Sustainability Actions (P) Ltd. The day’s session ended with the delivery of Vote of Thanks by Dr. Nupur Rao, Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.
JIMS Kalkaji organized a seminar on the topic of “India’s G20 Presidency: Sustainable Development and Women-led Development” on 28th February, 2023. The Inaugural session was witnessed by Maj. Gen. Dr. Rajan Kochhar (VSM)-Chief Guest), Mrs Yogita Singh (MCD Councillor), Dr. Shailly Kedia (Associate Director, TERI) and Dr Neerja Hajela (Asst. V.P, Yakult). Dr. Anuj Verma (Director, JIMS, Kalkaji) extended warm welcome to the dignitaries and presented green initiatives. Dr. Navneet Gera (HOD, PGDM-IB) presented vote of thanks to the dignitaries, colleagues and students. Inaugural session was followed by two technical sessions on sustainable development and women led development. Teams of students presented their views and were evaluated by external judge, Dr Nishu Ayedee. The winners from technical sessions were awarded certificates and cash prize of Rs 1000. Sustainable Development track winners were Himanshu Gupta, Madhav Gupta and Divya Sharma and Women-led Development track winners were Shreya and Varun. Overall, the event was a great success, providing a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and skills on the topic of G20.
JIMS Kalkaji Finance seminar was held on 14th January 2023 at JIMS auditorium on the topic, “The Changing Landscape of Indian Capital Markets in Investments”. Director JIMS Kalkaji, Dr. Anuj Verma in his welcome address elaborated on the significance of the changing landscape of Indian capital market for the domestic investors. Initially the seminar was inclined towards “The resilience of the Indian Capital Market” and was commenced by Prof. Alok Pandey, Dean G.D Goenka University; Chairman IAdc, MCX India Ltd. Furthermore, our second speaker for the seminar, CA Nitin Vashista, Chief Financial Officer, PHDCCI, Delhi gave his take on “The Changing Landscape of Indian Capital Markets”. The third guest of the day Mr. Surya Kant Sharma, Senior Consultant, AMFI shared his views about “Investment avenues in the Capital Markets and Investment Dynamics”.The session was concluded by Dr. Neelam Tandon, Professor & HOD, PGDM, JIMS, Kalkaji who further delivered the vote of thanks. In the end, Director of JIMS Kalkaji Dr. Anuj Verma felicitated all the guests with a memento as a token of respect from the Institution.
JIMS Kalkaji in collaboration with FIEO, organized a seminar on "India's New Foreign Trade Policy: Issues, Challenges and Prospects in a Fast Changing Global Economic Environment” on 28th November, 2022 at JIMS, Kalkaji auditorium. Several eminent speakers were invited to share their thoughts and wisdom with regard to the foreign trade policy and India’s position in global economic dynamics. The welcome address of the inaugural ceremony was delivered by Dr Satish Seth, Advisor to Chairman and Fmr. Director General, JIMS who gave a general overview of post pandemic economic stance of India with regard to the Russia Ukraine war, Supply Chain disruption, Energy and fuel crisis. The audience was addressed by Dr.S.P.Sharma, Chief Economist, PHDCCI who threw light on the economic growth of India drawing comparisons from the past and placing the present growth rate of India within the purview of international implications. Dr. A. K. Sengupta, Fmr Dean, IIFT and Professor, JIMS shared his knowledge about the factors responsible for India’s economic growth including digitisation, Energy Reforms, Atmanirbhar Bharat among others. Chief Guest Dr. Ajay Sahai, DG & CEO, FIEO imparted essential knowledge on exports being the key to economic success for India, calling the real income of a nation. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Anuj Verma, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji with momentos and tokens of appreciation being conferred to all the respected speakers. A panel discussion was conducted by Mr. Mithileshwar Thakur, Panel Chairperson, Fmr Addnl. Director General, DGFT, GOI who enlightened the audience with FTAs and their issues. Dr. Ram Singh, Professor, IIFT explained the different types of exports and their importance in the economic growth of a country specially India. Ms Amala Srivastava, Head Designer, EPCH enlightened the audience with the importance of studying market trends and consumption patterns which can lead to forecasting and appropriate strategy creation. The discussion was concluded with the suggested incorporation of effective production strategies, consumption patterns study, focus on gathering FDI and signing FTAs with heavy emphasis on exports as key factor to propel India’s economic growth.
