The seminar "Shaping a Sustainable Future - Navigating ESG" was held on March 29, 2025, at JIMS Kalkaji Auditorium for PGDM & PGDM (IB) Batch 2024-26, led by Mr. Saket Sinha, Director at Sustainability Actions Private Limited. Mr. Sinha discussed the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in addressing global sustainability challenges, emphasizing the need for businesses to integrate responsible practices beyond legal requirements. He provided a structured approach to implementing ESG frameworks, including adherence to India's National Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct and the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework. The session ended with a lively Q&A, where students delved into real-world ESG applications and strategies for corporate sustainability.
Panel Discussion on ‘Sustainable Practices of Indian Start-ups on 16th Sept 2024. The Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) organized panel discussion on ‘Sustainable Practices of Indian Start-ups’ organised on - 16th Sept 2024 (Ozone Day). The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Jyoti Kukreja and featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Ankit Tripathi (Founder UNEAKO), Mr. Atul Tripathi (Founder, UNEAKO), Mr. Abhishek Agarwal (CEO, Mali Kaka India Pvt Ltd), Mr. Ankur Tembe (Local2global Arena, Mentor, Startup, SME Growth Adviser and Mr. Deekshit Vara (CEO, Airok), who shared their journeys in sustainable entrepreneurship. Dr. Navneet Gera, Chairman of SCD, moderated the panel discussion on various aspects of sustainable development. The moderator engaged the entire panel in a discussion on key topics, including what inspired their focus on sustainable development, notable innovations by startups, and the challenges and advice for fostering sustainable business growth. Following the speaker session, a Q&A offered attendees valuable insights into the sustainability sector.
The event featured a case study competition that showcased students' innovative approaches to sustainability. The winners were: Sarthak Srivastava and Sanchit Sharma (1st year, Section B) in 1st place; Samridhi Garg (2nd year, PGDM IB), Pratham, and Mayank Jain (1st year, Section A) in 2nd place; and Nisha Yadav-Rakshita Aggarwal and Abin Joseph-Amit Rai (1st year, Section B) shared 3rd place.
The dedicated efforts of Dr. Navneet Gera and the entire CSR team were instrumental in ensuring the success of “परिस्थिति 2024”. Their commitment to promoting sustainability through thought-provoking discussions and student-driven initiatives made the event both impactful and inspiring. Their seamless coordination and passion for driving change played a vital role in motivating participants to embrace sustainable practices, not just as a concept, but as a way of life, fostering a collective sense of responsibility towards a greener future.
