From Chairman's Desk

Dear Student

It is common for all, especially the students to feel lazy, postpone or procrastinate something that needs to be completed at a given point of time. While it is almost inevitable for all students, however excessive procrastination is likely to reduce productivity and subsequently have an adverse impact on the outcomes in the future. Some of the actions could be helpful in avoiding procrastination. Making a list and putting it down on paper can actually be very helpful in not just organizing and prioritizing the various jobs but more so as a reminder too. It is important to ensure that the lists are realistic and achievable. We have to be prepared to deal with pressure as it is a good idea to remember that there’s almost always going to be more work to be done than what you would want to do. Once you are prepared to deal with such pressures, half the battle is won. We can break the tasks into smaller pieces as breaking things into smaller tasks not just makes the insurmountable work appear to be more reasonable and achievable but also at the same time helps to reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed. We must learn to eliminate distractions. Temptations and distractions may be the biggest enemy of following a schedule. It is essential to eliminate as many such factors as possible like it is essential for students to put away their mobiles and focus on the task at hand. It is noted that endless amount of planning, prioritizing and scheduling cannot substitute the actual task at hand. So, there is no escape for the effort and hard work that needs to be put in and the sooner you get it over with, the easier the accomplishments of the goal is likely to be.

Visit to Bisleri

A visit to the Bisleri plant was arranged with a view to familiarise the students with the process of purification and packaging of water. It turned out to be quite an informative and educative trip. Upon reaching the plant, the students were first taken to the training room where they were given head gears and masks so as to avoid transmission of any kind of infection. This was followed by a briefing about separate production lines for soda and mineral water. Also explained in detail was the process of capping, labeling, packaging and washing of bottles.
The most fascinating part of the visit, of course, was the trip around the fully automated plant. The students were amazed at the speed and accuracy with which the machines churned out bottles. The visit ended with students receiving bottles of mineral water from the officials.
