Essay Writing Competition as an Awareness Program towards Cleanliness

As a part of the cleanliness drive - "Swachatta Pakhawada" an essay competition is being organised by JIMS Kalkaji on "What can I do to make India clean?" The objective of the program was to increase awareness and evoke sensitivity to virtues of sanitation and cleanliness and help India to go a step ahead in its Swachh Bharat Abhiyann. The PGDM students heartily participated in the competition. They are committed towards joining hands to educate the common people to make India clean. They have written how to reduce, reuse and recycle wastes. They have promised to make India cleaner and greener and stick to healthier habits like use of bicycle and public transport. They suggested the use of kitchen wastes as organic manure and reuse of plastics for various innovative solutions. Overall it was a very value adding exercise for the students and this will definitely guide the students towards a better India.

The PGDM students of JIMS Kalkaji also took part in the nation wide essay writing competition organised by Government of India by contributing their entries online in www. mygov.in.



Inter Campus Quiz Competition on 14th Sep'17

Knowledge is infinite but time is limited

To enhance the business acumen of our students, JIMS Kalkaji conducted an 'Inter-Campus Quiz Competition' on September 14, 2017. The Quiz was all-inclusive as it included various general knowledge questions including Current Affairs, Business, History, Science, Geography, Sports.  Students from all campuses of JIMS actively participated in this knowledge enhancing competition. The first prize was won by JIMS VK and second prize was won by JIMS Greater Noida. Dr. J.K. Batra, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji congratulated the prize winners and presented trophies and certificates to them. 



Finathlon 2017

JIMS Kalkaji organized Finathlon, the Finance Quiz on 6th Sept 2017 in the Auditorium .The Quiz was conducted for PGDM students wherein two rounds were conducted: Prelims,and Mains.

After crossing the prelims, Mains had 4 rounds:

Round 2: Logos and Taglines

Round 3: Buzzer Round

Round 4: Who’s who Round

A total of 36 teams participated from PGDM (General) & PGDM (IB). After qualifying prelims, 6 teams went for stage finale, out of which Praveen Kumar Gupta and Bhawil Gulati secured 1st position and Pratibha Sahoo and Tushar Aggarwal won 2nd position. All the six teams of stage finale were given certificates and position holders were awarded with cash prizes as well.



Debate and Divergence of views can enrich our history and culture- Ibrahim Babangida, Nigerian Statesman

Keeping the above in mind, a debate competition was organized for PGDM and PGDM (IB) batch 2017-19 on the topic : ‘New India Manthon’ on August 24, 2017 under the guidelines instructions from AICTE. Various perspectives from history to futuristic, from criticism to appreciation and less discussed to more known. The competition not only enhanced confidence and public speaking skills of students but also multi-divergent thinking of them. Manpreet Kaur from PGDM (IB) stood First, followed by Nidhi Bhagat and Bhrigu Talukdar from PGDM stood Second and Third respectively. With the hope of ‘New India, Powerful India’, we congratulate winners.



COMQUEST 2017

The most prominent Management Quiz of the country ‘Comquest 2017’ was organized by Jagannath International Management School, (JIMS), Kalkaji in association with Jesus & Mary College (JMC), Delhi University on 22nd August 2017. The Annual National Management Quiz had been designed as a pioneering and an engaging programme to facilitate an abundant flow of information. An enthusiastic participation of more than 400 teams marked the success of the event. The quiz was conducted by the famous quiz master, Mr Adittya Mubayi, Quizcraft Global. The Programme commenced with lighting of the lamp ceremony by Chief Guest: Sh. S.K. Jha, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Guest of Honor: Ms. Neelu Kalra, Sr. (Dr.) Rosily T.L.R.J.M., Principal, Jesus and Mary College, Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Director-General, JIMS Kalkaji, Dr. J.K. Batra, Director, JIMS Kalkaji, Dr. Preeti Singh, Professor, JIMS Kalkaji, Dr. Rekha Dayal, Professor, Commerce Department, JMC.

Sr. (Dr.) Rosily T.L.R.J.M, Principal, Jesus and Mary College delivered a welcome address to all participants of the quiz. Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman JIMS treasured the collaboration with JMC and wished all the teams the very best for the competition. Dr. (Cdr.) Satish Seth Director General, JIMS Kalkaji in his key note address appreciated the collaboration with JMC for making this event the annual feature of JIMS and JMC and making it more exalting in scope year on year. Dr. J.K. Batra, Director, JIMS Kalkaji appreciated for the collaboration of the two mammoth educational brands: JIMS and JMC for the event. JIMS also showcased a presentation which detailed out all the necessary information and as a special initiative to fortify the relationships with JMC, special scholarships of 50% are offered to JMC students on fulfilling specified criteria. The winners were awarded with lucrative cash prizes worth Rs. 20000, Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 for first, second and third positions respectively with trophies and Merit Certificates. The winning teams demonstrated their skills in timeliness, teamwork and knowledge under pressure.  Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman JIMS, Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Director-General, JIMS Kalkaji and Dr. J.K. Batra, Director congratulated the winners: Shailesh Mishra and Baibaswata B Jena from College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneshwar for the first prize,  Ashish Kumar Singh from Ramjas College, and Gaurav Sethi from Venkateshwar College, Delhi University who secured the second position and Mayukh Nair and Shivangi Tikekar from Ashoka University, Sonepat who won the third prize. Dr Preeti Singh from JIMS, Kalkaji and Dr Rekha Dayal, Professor, Commerce Department, JMC extended vote of thanks for the contribution made by each eminent person involved towards the event. The vote of thanks appreciated the contribution by the entire association of JMC for the collective efforts without which the phenomenal success of the quiz would have not been probable. 



Table Tennis Federation of India Event in JIMS, Kalkaji on 17th July, 2017

Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) conducted a event for promotion of table tennis amongst youth in JIMS,Kalkaji Campus. Through this activity the students were encouraged to play Table Tennis by providing them opportunity to play and subsequently witness a Live match featuring International Stars. A lot of fun filled activities were conducted for the students for the students and successful students were given prizes.

The event was very popular as students turned out in large numbers to participate in the event. The students played with the robotic ball throwing machine which was a entirely new experience for them. The students were awarded prizes like tshirts, table tennis bats and key chains for achieving the benchmarks. The students were also given complimentary passes to attend the upcoming International Table Tennis Tournament organized by TTFI from July 21st-25th at Thyagaraj Stadium, New Delhi.

The event concluded with the Director, Prof. (Dr.) J.K.Batra visiting the venue and advising the students to devote some time on sports to achieve a healthy body and healthy mind.



Symposium: 'Transforming India through Digitization: Issues and Challenges'

JIMS Kalkaji with immense proud congratulates Gunjeeta Puri, PGDM student and Parvee Kapoor, BBA student on being awarded 'Judge's special prize' for presenting in the research paper contest at Symposium: 'Transforming India through Digitization: Issues and Challenges' held at IITM, Janakpuri on April 1, 2017. The students won cash prize with certificates.



Inter Campus Case Study Competition on 22nd March, 2017

The students of JIMS KalkaJi participated and secured first position in the Inter campus case study competition held in JIMS Vasant Kunj on 22.03.17. The students were provided a case on the spot titled “The growth and journey of PAYTM”. The students were provided 45 minutes for preparation and analysis and 15 minutes for presentation. The event witnessed participation from several institutes and colleges. The winning students Sonal Dang and Abhinaw Raj were congratulated by Dr. J.K. Batra Director JIMS KalkaJi on their achievement.



MOCKSTOCK 2017

Mock Stock 2017 was organized by Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji on 10th march 2017 in collaboration with Ramanujan College, Jesus & Mary College, Indian Accounting Assocition-NCR Chapter and Bombay Stock Exchange 2017 at - Ghalib Auditorium, Ramanujan College Kalkaji (New Delhi). ). The gala event was graced by presence of luminaries from academia and industry. The chief guest for the event was Mr. GP Madaan( Founder & Partner, Madaan Law Offices, Advocates & Solicitors). He discussed about the growing number of investors and policy makers and how important it is to promote good governance and better risk management in order to secure long-term returns. He articulated that stock-market is the barometer of an economy and how events like MOCTSTOCK can instil  knowledge of stock-market operations amongst the budding youth The competition was a game of skill and strategy of stock trading. Total of 34 teams participated in the event. The participants were given a portfolio of 10 prominent companies as market players in which they were required to negotiate the price and the commodities. The first prize was bagged by the students of Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce followed by Deen Dyal Upadhyaya College and the third position was won by students of Zakir Hussain College and Aryabhatta College. The event ended with the valedictory note given by Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, JIMS Kalkaji. Overall the event gave a feeling of actual trading in the market and helped the students to enhance their negotiation, convincing, and selling skills.



ECOZEST 2017

The game of football is without a doubt the most popular game in the world. It is indeed a conjuring world to millions, as there are various gaming consoles available that are truly a treat to fans. JIMS Kalkaji student, Sahil Dadlani of PGDM-2016-18 Batch participated and secured 2nd winning position in FIFA'17 at ECOZEST organized by Deshbandhu College, Delhi University on 15th Feb, 2017.


JIMS CBS Debate Competition on 13th Feb, 2017

JIMS Kalkaji in collaboration with Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (CBS), Delhi University organized a debate competition on February 13, 2017 at India International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi on the topic: “Moving Towards Digitalization-Is India Ready?”. The event witnessed participation from 41 colleges in Delhi and NCR including colleges affiliated to Delhi University, GGSIPU and PGDM institutions approved by AICTE. The panel of the judges comprised of Dr. Anubhuti Yadav, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Dr. Anuja Mathur, Associate Professor, CBS, DU and Dr. Neelam Tandon, Associate Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.

The session commenced by invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Thereafter, Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Director-General, JIMS Kalkaji delivered the welcome address which was followed by a keynote address by the Chief Guest of the Competition, Dr. Poonam Verma, Principal, CBS, Delhi University. Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, JIMS, Dr. (Cdr) Satish Seth, Director-General, JIMS Kalkaji and Dr. J.K. Batra, Director, JIMS Kalkaji congratulated the winners. Best team prize of Rs. 10,000 was given to Rohan Mishra, Mayank Chari & Saloni Verma of Hindu College, followed by second best team of Deen Dayal Upadhyay College where Shipra, Serena and Navya won Rs. 7,500. The best speaker for Proposition of Rs. 5,000 was won by Parth Maniktala of Hansraj College and the best speaker for Opposition of Rs. 5,000 was bagged by Bhavya Bhatia of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (CBS). The best interjector prize of Rs. 4,000 was won by Saloni of Hindu followed by Hameeda of Jamia Milia Islamia College. Dr. Preeti Singh delivered the vote of thanks. The session involved enthusiastic discussions and the quiz for the audience made the debate lively.



Entrepreneurship Academic Training

A five-day entrepreneurial training from 30th January- 3rd February, 2017 was conducted by Prof. Jaap Verdonck Huffnagel, from Nyenrode New Business School, Amsterdam at the campus of Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji..The session was highly interactive and highlighted the broad tenets of entrepreneurship to students and explained the fundamentals to evolve a sustainable and socially- environmentally responsible venture. Prof Jaap comes with varied international experience and his experience proved instrumental in exposing students to the global scenario of start-ups. The sessions proved to be an essential driver to motivate students to explore entrepreneurial journey and explained the significance of generating business ideas to provide solutions to gaps existing in the economic, social and technological ecosystem. A lively presentation of ideas through a ‘Business Plan’ added to the practical learning.  A combination of innovative pedagogy was highly appreciated by the students and more in future such sessions would definitely add feather to the cap for the student community at JIMS.



Inter Campus Debate Competition on February 1, 2017

‘Public speaking is the first dread, death is two’. To groom our students, an inter-campus debate competition was organized on February 1, 2017 on the contemporary topic: Demonetization: A political game changer or a historic blunder. A fierce battle of wit and words was fought. Elizabeth Jose, student of PGDM, JIMS Kalkaji was declared as Winner of the debate in PG category and Areeba, student, JIMS Kalkaji as First Runner Up in UG category. All campuses spoke vehemently on the issue and came up with their perspective regarding the same.  JIMS Kalkaji proudly congratulates the winners!



Make Intern-IIM Calcutta Training programme on Digital Marketing

A training programme on Digital Marketing was conducted by JIMS in association with MakeIntern-IIM Calcutta on January 21st and January 23rd 2017. The Mentor for the programme was Mr.Nick Bathla, Consummate Professional who has a rich experience in Digital Marketing and has helped many small business owners and entrepreneurs in building integrated lead generation funnels that have attracted increased targeted visitors from online channels, generating more leads with higher conversion rates.

The students were given comprehensive training in the basics of digital marketing as well as practical application based knowledge in websites optimization, create lead generation funnels, execute email marketing, set up PPC advertising on Facebook & Google. Students were also trained in Search Engine Optimization, pay per click model and Google Ad words.

At the conclusion of the programme on January 23rd, 2017, the Director, JIMS Kalkaji Prof. (Dr.)J.K Batra felicitated Mr. Nick Bathla and encouraged the students to develop further capabilities in Digital Marketing and explore exciting career opportunities in Digital Marketing.



Mirchi Fresher’s: National Level Talent Hunt

Radio Mirchi Fresher’s: National Level Talent Hunt was organized in Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji, on Monday, 23rd January 2017. The purpose of the event was to hunt for Mr. and Miss Fresher.  Students showcased their talent in fields of creativity, personality, music, fashion, and entertainment and were judged on the same. Ms. Shivaliof PGDM won the best entertainer award. However, Ms. Aarti of PGDM (IB) and Mr. Abhishek of PGDM have won the title of Ms. And Mr. Fresher respectively. These students who would now be competing with students of other colleges across Delhi/NCR. The event provided the platform for the youth to explore and exhibit their talent. Overall the event was a blockbuster of activity and fun.

NSE – IITF QUIZ on 26/11/2016

Investors Awareness Programme was organized by National Stock Exchange on November 26, 2016 at India International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in which participating students from JIMS, Kalkaji were given a basic understanding about various investment options like Stock Markets, Mutual Funds and Equity Linked Saving Schemes. The programme was followed by a Quiz on Capital Market in which JIMS students performed well. The programme concluded with prize distribution ceremony where the students were awarded prizes based on their performance. All students were also given a certificate of participation. Mr. Sharad Krishna Sharma, GM, SEBI appreciated the performance of JIMS students in the Quiz competition.



Stand- Up India - International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment organised by NIESBUD

Students of Jagannath International Management School, Kalkaji -KUSHA GUPTA and SIJO FRANCIS of PGDM 2016-18 batch won the Best Paper Award for their research paper on Issues and Challenges faced by Young women to become Entrepreneurs at the Stand- Up India - International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment organised by NIESBUD (The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development) on 21st Nov, 2016. NIESBUD is an apex organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India engaged in Training, Consultancy, Research, and Publication, in order to promote entrepreneurship.

A total of 48 research papers were presented at the conference by the International research scholars from Tajikistan, South Africa, Mid-East Asia, and South Asia. Some papers were also presented by professors from Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi School of Business, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (Delhi University) and many others. The award was conferred by the Chief Guest of the valedictory function Dr. S.P. Mishra, former Vice Chancellor, Sanskriti University. The International Conference provided a platform for experience-sharing, learning and interaction amongst the influential leaders from industry and government.



Poster Making Competition on 9th Nov, 2016

A Poster making competition on “Gender Sensitization” was organized on 9thNovember, 2016 in JIMS Kalakji. This had been a very concrete platform for the students to put forward their creativity. The main aim of the event was to instill empathy into the views that individuals hold about their own and the other gender. The sub themes for the event were workplace harassment, crimes against women and unequal treatment of women.  Students from various departments had shown active participation and they were judged on the parameters of creativity, neatness, and theme.



Inter Campus Presentation Competition on 6th Oct, 2016

JIMS on 6.10.2016 organized an Inter Campus Presentation Competition on the theme “Reservation system in India -more a problem than a solution”. Reservation in India is an age old policy of the government undertaken to uplift the backward classes. But this policy has drastically hampered countries growth prospects as meritorious students and economically backward students do not receive the due opportunities. The focus's point of the presentation was that the reservation system should be given on economic background of the candidate and not his caste. The government should ensure social justice to all and also provide free education till the age of 18. Proper criteria and special committee should be set up to look after the under privileged and only well deserved people should be given reservations at any level. Amongst all the competing presenters of the four campuses, JIMS Kalkaji PGDM students, Shivi Mehrotra and Sijo M. Francis bagged the award of excellence for their comprehensive presentation, action plan and ways to achieve the objective

 



Inter-Campus Quiz Competition on 14th September 2016

An Inter-Campus Quiz Competition among JIMS institutions was held in Auditorium of JIMS, Kalkaji on Wednesday, 14th September 2016.  The competing teams consisted of 3 students each from Greater Noida, Vasant Kunj, Lajpat Nagar and Kalkaji.  The competition was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) J K Batra, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji. 

The competition was very well contested.  There were 9 rounds consisting of many questions in each round covering various areas including Audio-Visual rounds.

The audience consisted of students from JIMS institutions.  Any question which could not be answered correctly by the teams was put to the audience.  In addition, there were 2-3 questions asked from the audience between each round.  In all, 40 questions were answered correctly by the students from the audience and they were suitably appreciated.

JIMS, Greater Noida team bagged the first prize and JIMS, Kalkaji team, the second prize.  Both the teams were awarded trophies by Dr. (Cdr.) Satish Seth, Director General, and Prof. (Dr.) J K Batra, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji.



COMQUEST 2016

Undeniably a mark of pride as a collaborative National Management Quiz ‘’Comquest 2016’’ organized on 24th August 2016 when this prestigious event marked the calendar for Jagannath International Management School, JIMS, Kalkaji in association with Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University. The National Management Quiz had been designed as an innovative, interactive programme to facilitate a copious flow of knowledge and ideas packaged in exciting rounds. Learning through management quizzing was fun and went beyond the traditional bounds of management training. The objective was to assess and review awareness level on core business management issues as well as latest developments in business practices. An enthusiastic participation of more than 300 teams marked the success of the event. The quiz was conducted by the famous quiz master Mr Adittya Mubayi, Quizcraft Global. Throughout the proceedings the quiz master engaged with the audience as well as the teams and made the quiz very interactive. The quiz master set the benchmark for knowledge with others in an environment of healthy competition and lots of fun. The proposition was to make the teams and the audience feel stimulated and inspired to accelerate their learning curves and the objective was well achieved. The Programme commenced with lighting of the lamp ceremony and Dr. Minakshi Mitra, from Commerce Department, JMC welcomed all the distinguished guests and participants. Sr. (Dr.) Marina John, Principal, Jesus and Mary College delivered a welcome address and appreciated the efforts taken by JIMS Kalkaji and the Commerce Department of JMC, for the exhilarating response which was received for this National quiz.

In absentia of Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairperson, JIMS and Dr. Rosily, Principal, JMC sent their best wishes to all the participants. Dr. Cdr. Satish Seth Director General, JIMS Kalkaji in his key note address appreciated the collaboration with JMC and wished all the teams the very best for the competition making this event the annual feature of JIMS and JMC and making it more magnanimous in scope. Dr. J.K. Batra, Director, JIMS Kalkaji also expressed immense gratitude and appreciated for the collaboration towards the event. JIMS also showcased a presentation and a promotional video which detailed out all the necessary information and as a special initiative to strengthen the relationships with JMC, special scholarships of 75% and 50% were offered to JMC students on fulfilling specified criteria. The winners were given very attractive cash prizes worth Rs. 20000, Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 for first, second and third position with Merit Certificates. The winners of the quiz were also presented the Trophies. The list of the finalists of COMQUEST 2015 is as under: Tushar Anand from Ramjas College and Raktim Nah from IGNOU won the first prize of Rs. 20000 , Mayukh Nair from Ashoka University and Pranshu Agarwal from ANDC secured the second position and won Rs. 10000. Ravtej Singh and Harshvardhan fromm SSCBS won the third prize. The winning teams demonstrated their skills in lateral thinking, teamwork and decision making under pressure. Dr Preeti Singh from JIMS, Kalkaji also delivered a vote of thanks to the entire association of JMC and to each and every member as she shouldered the responsibility right from the initiative till the very execution of the event and expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation as without the collective efforts the phenomenal success would have not been possible. The event was followed by sumptuous lunch.



Inter Campus Case Study Competition on 5th April, 2016

JIMS Vasant Kunj organized an Inter Campus Case Study Competition on 5th April, 2016. The topic was based on "Maggie in Soup" given on the spot. There were 4 teams of 2 members each. The students were provided 1 hour time to analyze the case and then make the presentation. All participants answered to the jury’s questions and audience queries in very enthusiastic way. Finally Dr. Ravi Dhar, Director, JIMS, VK and Dr. S.K. Dogra, Registrar, JIMS, VK presented awards to the winners. The first award was bagged by Akansha Kansal (PGDM) and Divyesh Pandey (BBA6th Sem) of JIMS, Kalkaji. Second Prize was won by JIMS, Vasant Kunj and third by JIMS, G.N. The students of JIMS, Lajpat Nagar were given the participation certificate.


JIMS CBS Debate Competition on 23rd Feb, 2016

The event witnessed participation from 32 colleges in Delhi and NCR including colleges affiliated to Delhi University, GGSIPU and PGDM institutions approved by AICTE. The panel of the judges comprised of Mr. Deepak Parvatiyar, renowned journalist, Dr. Anuja Mathur, Associate Professor, CBS, DU and Dr. Timira Shukla, Professor, JIMS Kalkaji.

The best interjector prize was won by Hindu followed by Janki Devi Memorial College and then Venkateshwar College. Dr. Preeti Singh delivered the vote of thanks. JIMS Shines in Dalal Street - MOSAIC 2015

Mosaic is the annual cultural fest organised by the students of IILM GSM Greater Noida, Lodhi Road and Gurgoan Campus. The Event is spread across various fields such as performing arts, literature, sports, etc.

DALAL STREET: feel of magic house (the stock market ) was organised on 27th Nov 2015 in Gurgaon campus.

As per the rules the one who makes the maximum profit would be the Mr. Warren ( winner ). 3 members suppose to participate in it along with a broker of there college only.

The number of teams participated in this event were 07 including our own 2 teams fom JIMS Kalkaji.

In this event our students namely Parvee kapoor, Rakshit Sharma & Varun Ramzai participated and won 1st prize of worth 10000 rupees.



UDAAN-2015

Inter Campus Presentation Competition on 15th Oct, 2015

‘Life was much easier when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits’. IT has revolutionized the world and JIMS takes this concern forward in celebrating the theme of ‘Digital India: Challenges and Opportunities’, on 15.10.2015 by organizing an ‘Inter Campus Presentation Competition’ so as to create awareness and discuss about the effects and changes that technology would bestow. Students from all JIMS campuses participated in this day long presentation competition, in which they highlighted the salient aspects of digitization of India. Amongst all the completing presenters JIMS, Kalakaji (PGDM) students, Radhika Kapoor and Vikrant Chawla bagged the first prize for their comprehensive presentation, action plan and ways to achieve the objective.



COMQUEST 2015

It was indeed an honor when a prestigious event marked the calendar for Jagannath International Management School, JIMS, Kalkaji. A collaborative National Management Quiz ‘’Comquest 2015’’ was organized on 23rd September 2015 by JIMS in association with Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University. The National Management Quiz had been designed as an innovative, interactive programme to facilitate a copious flow of knowledge and ideas packaged in exciting rounds. Learning through management quizzing was fun and went beyond the traditional bounds of management training. The objective was to assess and review awareness level on core business management issues as well as latest developments in business practices. An enthusiastic participation of more than 300 teams marked the success of the event. The quiz was conducted by the famous quiz master Mr Adittya Mubayi, Quizcraft Global . Throughout the proceedings the quiz master engaged with the audience as well as the teams and made the quiz very interactive. The quiz master set the benchmark for knowledge with others in an environment of healthy competition and lots of fun. The proposition was to make the teams and the audience feel stimulated and inspired to accelerate their learning curves and the objective was well achieved. The Programme commenced with lighting of the lamp ceremony and Dr.Minakshi Mitra, from Commerce Department, JMC welcomed all the distinguished guests and participants. Sr. (Dr.) Marina John, Principal, Jesus and Mary College delivered a welcome address and appreciated the efforts taken by JIMS Kalkaji and the Commerce Department of JMC, for the exhilarating response which was received for this National quiz. Dr. Amit Gupta, Chairperson, JIMS, Kalkaji in his key note address appreciated the collaboration with JMC and wished all the teams the very best for the competition making this event the annual feature of JIMS and JMC and making it more magnanimous in scope. Dr. Cdr. Satish Seth Director General, JIMS Kalkaji also expressed immense gratitude and appreciated for the collaboration towards the event. JIMS also showcased a presentation and a promotional video which detailed out all the necessary information and as a special initiative to strengthen the relationships with JMC, special scholarships of 75% and 50% were offered to JMC students on fulfilling specified criteria. The winners were given very attractive cash prizes worth Rs. 20000, Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 for first, second and third position with Merit Certificates. Dr Rekha Dayal , Commerce Department, JMC extended her vote of thanks for the contribution made by each eminent person involved towards the event. Dr Preeti Singh from JIMS, Kalkaji also delivered a vote of thanks to the entire association of JMC and to each and every member as she shouldered the responsibility right from the initiative till the very execution of the event and expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation as without the collective efforts the phenomenal success would have not been possible. The event was followed by lunch.



Inter Campus Quiz Competition on 9th Sep, 2015

JIMS Kalkaji organized its Annual Inter-Campus Quiz competition on 9th September, 2015. An active participation enrolled for the competition from all the four campuses of JIMS. The quiz was well appreciated as it was both interesting and comprehensive and it thoroughly grilled the students on nine rounds on topics related to current affairs, science, sports, geography, history, etc. JIMS Vasant Kunj team inclusive of Mayank Kumar, Vineeta Ranjan, and Biswajit Bhattacharya stood first, while team of JIMS Kalkaji comprising Aseem Sharma, Areeba Eram, and Nipun Dudeja, won the second prize. The enthusiastic audience added fervor to the entire show.



Inter College Quiz Competition on 19th April'15

Congratulations to Aanjneya Sharma and Deepansh Arora of PGDM 2014-16 for winning first prize, cash of Rs. 10,000/- and certificates in Inter College Quiz Competition organized by TIME(Triumphant Institute of Management Education) on April 19, 2015. Presentation Competition- Good Governance Day

The birth anniversary of our former Prime Minister, Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, 25th December has been declared as ‘Good Governance Day’ by our new government. To honor the day, JIMS Kalkaji organized a Presentation Competition on the theme of ‘The Challenge of Good Governance in India - Need for Innovative Approaches’ on 23rd December 2014. Students enthusiastically participated and deliberated on the values of ethics, accountability, responsibility, transparency for which challenges and solutions lie in being equitable and inclusive. The theme of the day was bedecked with rich cash prizes. Ms. Sanghamita Ghosh and Ms. Manisha Mishra were applauded as the winners along with Vaibhav Dixit, Shiju T. James, Aayushi Bansal and Aishwarya Masand.



INTER CAMPUS PRESENTATION COMPETITION on 16th Oct, 2014

In continuation of its concern for social responsibility and ensuring effective contribution towards the environment, JIMS on 16.10.2014 organised an Inter Campus Presentation Competition on the theme "Swacha Bharat Abhiyan: Action & Implementation" so as to create awareness about the "Swacha Bharat Campaign" to make India a clean country by 2019. Students from all JIMS campuses participated in this day long presentation competition, in which they highlighted the salient aspects of the mission and also threw light on the ways in which they are going to themselves contribute towards this noble cause and how they intend to sensitize their family, friends and reference group in creating a sustained effort towards cleanliness. Amongst all the completing presenters JIMS, Kalakji (PGDM) students bagged the first prize for their comprehensive presentation, action plan and ways to achieve the objective.



Inter Campus Quiz Competition on 10th Sep'14

In continuing with our enthusiastic academic endeavors, JIMS Kalkaji conducted an 'Inter-Campus Quiz Completion' on 10th September, 2014. The Quiz encompassed various general knowledge questions including current affairs etc. There were many interesting rounds like rapid fire, fastest fingers first, etc. The pivotal attraction being 'Win a Chocolate' for the audience round which received an enthusiastic response . Students from all campuses of JIMS actively participated in this knowledge enhancing session. The first prize was won by Mr. Shivam Semwal, Mr. Upesh Sharma and Mr. Sudeb Bhattacharya of JIMS Greater Noida and second prize was won by Mr. Pabanjit Kalita, Mr. Prateek Maheshwari and Mr. Sahil Verma of JIMS Kalkaji. Dr. Satish Seth, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji presented the prizes to the winning teams.



Inter-Campus Case Study Writing Competition

An Inter campus Case Study Writing and presentation Competition was organized in JIMS-VK on 27 March,14.. The Case was to discuss and come out with a solution to "Hindustan Unilever's slippage of market share across various product categories"The runners up team was from JIMS Kalkaji which consisted of Subhas Sharma and Yatin Sharma of PGDM 2013-15

BBA student Kunal Nagpal bagged the second Prize in the English Poem Recitation event in ‘Anugoonj’ the annual cultural festival of GGSIPU. Our students also participated enthusiastically in various events like Duet Dance, Group Dance, Collage making, One Act Play and Cartoon Making competition.

He will now represent JIMS in the National Round of the Contest scheduled to be started from 4th March 2013. Million Minds National Logistics talent hunt competition

PGDM (IB) students won the Third prize in the Million Minds National Logistics talent hunt competition organized in Delhi on January 12, 2013 and won the third prize. The team members will be awarded trophies and cash prize of Rs. 50,000 at ceremony to be held at Taj Hotel, New Delhi on 10th Feb, 2013. ‘Yogyata 2K13? Inter-college Management Games Competition

Apoorv Srivastav of PGDM (IB) and Ashish Vats of (PGDM) participated in the’Yogyata 2K13’ Inter-college Management Games Competition of Jaipuria Institute of Management held on 25th January, 2013. They participated in different events like Tower Building, Pick up the Pumpkin, Jumping Jack, Park the project etc. In the ‘Pick the Pumpkin event they bagged the first prize and in ‘Tower Building’ event they were placed second. The success was possible as each team member displayed excellent coordination, application of mind, intelligence and team spirit.

Third Inter-Campus B-Schools Presentation Competition on 3rd November

Jims Kalkaji in collaboration with the Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI), Delhi Chapter, organized the third Inter-Campus B-Schools Presentation Competition on 3rd November, 2012 in Kalkaji Campus auditorium. Ten teams from Delhi-NCR participated in the competition. The students gave presentations on the topic “Next Business Practices: Management students Blue Print for India Inc. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Rajiv Sahdev, Vice President, HR, Moser Baer India Ltd. IMCI presented trophies and certificates to the winners and runners up. The first prize was won by Ms. Kashika Bhagat, Aakar Kumar and Smriti Seshan of FDDI Business School and the second prize was won by Harshita Nigam, Sania Budhraja and Ankit Mehta of JIMS, Vasant Kunj. Chairman JIMS, Dr. Amit Gupta presented the prizes to the winning teams.



Inter Campus Quiz Competition

Jims Kalkaji conducted an Inter-campus Quiz completion on 12th September. The Quiz covering topics related to IT, Management, sports, literature, current affairs etc was actively participated in by students from all campuses of JIMS. The first prize was won by Mr. Saif, Ms. Sakshi and Mr. Kunal Gupta of JIMS VK-11 and second prize was won by Mr.Sidhant Giri, Mr. Navjot and Mr. Lakshya Joshi of VK-1. Dr. Satish Seth, Director, JIMS, Kalkaji presented the prizes to the winning teams.


City Ka Super Singer- Season3

Radio City91.1 FM conducted auditions for musical reality show “City Ka Super Singer- Season3” on 24th August at Jims Kalkaji Campus. This activity is aimed at finding promising singing talent across India. Five students from JIMS Kalkaji have been shortlisted for the second round of auditions.


Award of Merit Certificates

PGDM students were awarded merit certificates on 17th August, 2012 by Chairman Dr. Amit Gupta. The certificates were given to meritorious students for their overall academic performance and also for achieving distinction in various individual subjects. Dr. Amit Gupta congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue their award winning streak. He emphasized the importance of being consistent and methodological. He also reiterated the need for developing good communication and presentation skills so as to be better equipped to perform in the corporate world.
